I love Laraine Newman, she is incredibly tallented. Now I'm only 15, so I was around to see the original episodes of "Saturday Night Live" I only wish that I could've because she's so funny. All of the original cast was incredible: Chevy Chase, Garrett Morris, Dan Aykroyd, John Belushi (RIP, he is missed), Bill Murray, Jane Curtain, and Gilda Radner (once again, RIP, she is incredibly missed). I have actually watched a special on the first five years of SNL over 50 times (I TiVO'd it) and she was so funny. Even in the stuff she's doing now she's funny. (Did you know she once played Phoebe's Half-Brother's mom on an episode of "Friends"?)

I am completely in love with Michael Seater. I've been a hard-core "Strange Days at Blake Holesy High" fan for about four years now (except I will say the ending blew- Josie and Lucas Forever [I would put that in all caps but it won't let me]- screw Vaughn). I watched "Life with Derek" for the first time whn I was babysitting and when I realized Michael Seater was on the show I was hooked. I don't care if it's a kids show (but with some of the content you have to wonder), I'm obsessed. He is so talented. Yay Canada! Although if he gets together with Emily on LWD, it'll be freaky (like Corrine and Lucus. EWW!)
Anyway, I'LL live life with this Derek any day.

Gilda was amazing. I'm only 15, so I never got to see her on SNL, but I've absorbed anything on SNL from the first 5 years, especially sketches with Gilda. I LOVE The Nerds, Emily Litella (my personal favorite is her Endangered Feces rant), and Judy Miller (Did you know she had a broken rib when she did that sketch-- she broke it in dress rehearsal running into the door repeatedly, but she still did the sketch). One of my all-time fave Gilda moments is her in the recording studio as Candy Slice, but I still loved her as Roseanne Roseannadanna ("It just goes to show ya, it's always something). Face it, Gilda was one of the reasons SNL survived those first five years. And although I was not alive for her death, may she rest in peace. She is missed.
