ok, i am here once again! does anybody actually read these except for myself? probably not. but just in case somebody is out there that is reading my little blog thing, you're pretty cool for listening to what i have to say. which is never very much.

well, i last wrote here forever ago. now i'm living in downtown chicago and although i love my condo (i have a pretty cool view) and my school, i really can't wait now to get out of here and check out this country. but that's not going to happen for awhile considering i can't even drive yet. it made me really depressed because yesterday i was talking to my friend who's taking driver's ed, and i was like, "I want to do that!!!" Oh well.

Last summer, my favorite website in the world was prairiefans.com. Now I haven't been there in forever and I'm terrified to go back because I think the surprisingly close-knit online community of Little House on the Prairie will freak out on me for being like, "hello, you haven't been here in six months. what's your problem?" God my life is BAD.

that's it for now. next time i'll try not to wait a year before posting another blog.

Wow. I just realized I haven't "blogged" in awhile and I figured I should actually do something here. Plus most of the people around here don't know much about me. Anyway, as far as my icon goes, YES ITS FIXED!!! except my computer is stupid and I can't put on real pictures of me without looking like a complete psycho, so I put the Heroes theme on. For the record, I don't watch Heroes and I don't plan to. But I didn't have many other options.

Ok. How about I tell you all a bit about myself?

My real name is Emelia, not lisgirl978. Yeah, I know, "be safe on line." But its not like I'm telling you my phone number or anything. I'm 13 and I live in a south suburb of Chicago -- however, soon to be the city!! On May 3 (which as of today is exactly four weeks away) my parents and I say adios to boring suburban housing and we're moving into a 24th floor condo in the city (Chicago). That's so I can go to a fine arts high school downtown to study dance.

I'm in eighth grade and am more or less your normal teenager. Well, the beginning of this year I had this huge problem -- "I'm not normal!" and tried desperately to watch "regular" TV and listen to "normal" music. Then I had a revelation that being normal is overrated and I'm not that average. You see, I'm absolutely obsessed with Lost In Space and Little House on the Prairie. What I find funny is that when you compare the two, they're so completely different. However, my mom says that both are on the frontier -- just LIS of space and LH of America. I've bought tons of DVDs of both shows and watch them constantly. And all that. I also love to listen to my dad's music from the 1980s. My favorite song of all time is probably Rain on the Scarecrow by John Mellencamp. Point made?

Fun way to learn about people-- the What Nobody Knows About You Game. So here's 10 random things that not many people know about me:

1. After six weeks of kindergarten, I bumped up to the first grade and once there was in all advanced classes up to the present. Technically I should probably be in about ninth grade already, but my teacer said I was ready to move up socially only one year.

2. I have a super-sonic memory. My friends and I joke that I could remember what socks I wore last 4th of July. Answer: Hello, its a trick question! You don't wear socks on the 4th of July, you wear flip-flops!

3. I can say every single line from the movies The Parent Trap and The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants.

4. I love science fiction. My favorite book (ok, right after A Corner of the Universe, but that's absolutely unbeatable) is definitely Uglies by Scott Westerfeld, about a futuristic world.

5. My dad and I are planning to have seen every episode of all these old shows by the end of high school: Lost In Space (accomplished), Time Tunnel (accomplished), Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, Star Trek (all series), Battlestar Galactica, and M*A*S*H.

6. Throughout my life, I've wanted to be a teacher, an ice-skater, a firefighter, an adoption counselor, an acupuncturist (long story), a journalist, a writer, a foreign service worker, a professional tie-dyer, a computer specialist, a mattress tester, and now a dancer when I grow up.

7. In sixth grade a letter I wrote to the editor about an unnecessary construction was published, and I had the superintendent of schools give me his phone number in case I had another cause I needed help supporting.

8. Like every six-year-old, I wanted a GameBoy desperately, and when I finally got one, the only games I ever played were MaryKate and Ashley. Six months later GameBoy Advance came out and since I never got one and my GameBoy was "uncool", I never used it again.

9. Other presents put to waste: My Singin' Starz karaoke machine (remember those?), an American Girl video camera, a half-size guitar, countless history books from my uncle, a contemporary viola book, and a Sabrina, The Teenage Witch computer game.

10. The first movie I ever owned was Shirley Temple's Bright Eyes, and the first one I ever saw in theaters was Fly Away Home. Funny I can remember?

S'all for now. l8r!

Some people just don't have opinions. Like lisgirl978.
lisgirl978 must really love MovieTome and agree with every review we've ever written! What other reason could lisgirl978 possibly have for not rating a single film?
