Michelle Schlachta Junior - I swear her name sounds familiar, but I can't figure out where I've seen her before. I guess it doesn't matter, though, because now that she stars on I'll Get You, You Dirty Rat! I'll be able to see her on the screen almost every night. She really does a great job for such an unknown actress, and I hope this show kicks off a great career for her. I think she's really pretty, too.

The incredible beauty of this young woman sparkles like a flake of mica in the greenish-brown sludge of the streambed that is her home on "The O.C." Rachel has been blessed with silky chestnut locks, smoldering brown eyes, and beach-tan skin that recalls the sunny, sandy scent of carefree teenage days at the seaside. It seems that in every other episode, Rachel finds a reason to don the revealing pink and black superhero costume that fits like a second skin, and I applaud the writers for ensuring her continued exposure. She stands in her cape and corset like a leggy fawn in the sunbeam spotlight of a forest clearing, unself-conscious and almost unaware that the eyes of the world cannot keep from lingering on her delicate form. Unfortunately, she couldn't act her way out of a paper bag.

To be honest, I have not seen Mia Kirshner act in anything other than "The L Word" and an old episode of Nickelodeon’s "Are You Afraid of the Dark," but I feel qualified to say that she irritates the hell out of me. In my eyes, she’s an only slightly less puke-worthy version of Jennifer Love Hewitt. Dark brows raised, eyes wide open with faux innocence, pointy chin raised to accentuate a "swanlike" neck, Mia ruins hot "L Word" scenes whenever she steps onto the screen. Her character, Jenny, is not so much sympathetic as simply pathetic. Season One was inexplicably chock-full of heterosexual action, as if the writers were completely unaware of why we all watch and love this show. A hint: it’s not the sight of Jenny getting it on with some dude in an aquarium, tears running down her cheeks because she’s just so darn confused. That kind of thing is a shameful waste of potential lesbian-sex time.
I’m still unsure of why Mia was cast for "The L Word" in the first place. Sure, she was perfect as Season One’s blundering, manipulative Jenny, but you’d think that Jenny was meant to develop into a more likeable character. As she settles into her new sexual identity, Jenny should become more attractive to viewers, but I don’t see that happening with Mia in the role. I also don’t buy her ‘babe’ status on the show. Mia is the kind of woman men love, but I’m sure I don’t know a lesbian who finds that kind of sniveling, injured-filly attitude to be sexy. For shame, "L Word!"

My mom is no Andrea Dworkin, but I was raised with enough feminism in my diet to know for sure that women like Pamela Anderson were not to be respected or admired. I hated 'Baywatch.' I was deeply offended by the enormous implants that swung around as Pam jogged down the beach in her little red bathing suit. I eyed her tan, toothpick-thin thighs with disdain and a bit of fear. What was this blonde alien doing in my world of pasty white skin and Siberian body-hair patterns? She must be a serious threat to the self esteem, body image, and other health-class values of girls like me. I wrote her off, and the years rolled by.
This spring, 'Stacked' reached the airwaves. I frowned at the news, and old feelings of hostility rustled within me. Never mind the fact that I'd long since learned the joys of objectification, no matter the sex of the object in question. I had no plans to watch 'Stacked.'
Of course, as is typical in my house, someone had the TV on when 'Stacked' premiered. Susie, my housemate and partner in both feminism and pop-culture crime, sat me down for some dinner in front of the screen. Our forks moved from plates to mouths, but our eyes never wavered from Pam's still-brown skin and heaving chest. We spoke not a word, and we watched every second of the episode. When it ended, our eyes met, and we simultaneously declared, 'She's HOT!'
Never mind if her show stinks - I plan to enjoy it thoroughly whenever the chance arises. Never mind if her breasts are fake - I'd still make out with her. Never mind if I've hated Pam for years - I love her now.
