Well no matter what the year was like for you one thing is certain: 2008 was year to remember. On the national scene, 2008 has witnessed the worst economy in years and a history making election season just to give a few examples. For me 2008 has been a greatly mixed bag. It has held some of the worst experiences of my life, but at the same time some of the best ones. I lost some friends, but at the same time I gained new ones who have enriched my life more than words can say. I discovered tv.com this year, through which I met several of my new friends. Ironically the reason I came to tv.com was because of one of the bad experiences I had this year, i.e. seeing the ending of Death Note lol.

But anyway I also discovered several great new anime this year, including Code Geass, Bleach, and Cowboy Bebop to name a few. I also broadened my horizons in other areas from food to music, such as a newfound love for Starbucks lol. And even though things seem dire right now in the world, I am optimistic about my future and the future in general. I don't really have any resolutions for the new year, except to continue on with my studies and to coninue to meet new and interesting people who can help me broaden my horizons. Well, bye for now and here's to a great 2009 for us all!

So what will you remember about 2008? And what do you want to achieve in 2009?

There is not much I want to remember from 2008. I will say that it was cool to have the person I voted for make it to the presidency. That has only happened for me once before, in 1992. I rolled snake eyes in 88, 96, 2000, and 2004. Oh, and who can forget 1984. Ouch. What a beatting. Anyway, I am not sure that I have a specific goal for 2009...I guess I want to recover from 2008.

2008...well, like you, I discovered tv.com, and some really fun and interesting people that live parts of their lives online. I've grown in some areas and regressed in others, but mostly I'd say that 2008 has been a very social year, at least online. Hopefully this next year will be more financially productive. ^_^

You seem like you've been around tv.com forever! I don't know why, though. You just have the feel of the classic users (like Angus_Mac). Do you know what i mean? I will always remember 2008 as the year i met some of my closest friends, althogh, the end of 2007 was truly when i made my 2 closest. I finished teh Twilight saga I'm hoping i will get my first real job and my Driver's License before it's over.

Well 2008 was also when I discovered tv.com haha. It will be my 1 year anniversary in Febuary. I also lost many friends in 08 and gained new ones. Hopefully I can take responsibly and keep them this time. 2008 was economically tough on my family and I hope that the economy is much better this year. I also graduate in May and hopefully I can get a job haha.

Re SsriTelQuessir - well at least one good thing happened for you this year, I know it's not much considering what you've been through though, I hope 2009 is better for you.

Re Yoruichi - yeah it's interesting most a lot the people I've met here joined in 2008 - the 2008 club lol. And that's a good goal to have hopefully it will be lol.

Re Ani_Manga - yeah there was a lot not to like about the year but there were some good things as well.

Re sara - lol thanks it makes me feel special knowing I seem like a "classic" user. I haven't read Twilight is it good? And good luck getting your driver's license!

Well I also joined in 2008, I lost my best friend and anyone who was friends with her, so that is not exactly how I wanted to start the new year, but fortunatly two people have come to my aid, they are great people and I hope that I never lose them. I am also a little worried about the economy, but I have faith that everything will be fine, and even if things do get worse, I should be fine as long as I have my friends, Books (mainly TWILIGHT right now) and Anime!!! I hope that you do not lose any more friends and that the ones you have now are truley genuine people and will always be there for you. I hope your studies are going well, I wish you the best of luck! I also hope that you find more anime that you enjoy!
Have a Happy New Year!!! =^_^=

Re AnimeLover - I'm sorry about you losing your friend like that I know it's not easy, but I'm glad you found some others who can be there for you. And you're right no matter how bad things get there are always things we can hold on to that will help us through the bad times, and friends and anime are near the top of my list of my list as well! Thanks I believe that the friends I have now are going to be with me for awhile, and I wish you a very Happy New Year as well!
