How's everybody been?
I've been really crappy here. Lots of things going on and the things that I thought I could always depend on might not be around much longer and that sucks.
With that being said I wanted to ask some questions and get your opinions/knowledge/personal experiences.
Away we go.
1. I played RE5 Co-Op today with a complete stranger (a 13 year old kid home sick from school) and I don't know that I had that much fun. It was nice because he was way better than the partner AI nad having played the game through before he was extremely helpful in giving tips but at the same time I don't think I felt the "enjoyment" of playing with another person. Had it been a friend of mine I'm sure it would have been better but a stranger was just kind of weird. Do you guys like to play Co-Op with strangers or does it have to be friends?
2. What are the rules for uploading video blogs to the site? What is the time limit? How do I credit music? Do I have to do it while the song is playing or can I just tack it on at the end? Do I have to credit video game footage if I got it from Gamespot? What about bad language? Can I bleep it out or do I have to cut it out all together? Any other things that I might need to know would be helpful. Thanks.
3. I was thinking about pre-ordering some games from Amazon because they have some amazing deals going on but was wondering when I would receive the games? Do they ship on the day they release and therefore get here a few days or later or do they ship so that they arrive on launch day?
4. How is Borderlands? I think I might need something to keep me busy until L4D2 and COD: MW2 come out and it seems like something my girlfriend and I might enjoy playing together. MSNBC has a quickie "review" of Borderlands written from the female game writer perspective and while its hilarious it doesn't really address the game. Read it here. Tell me what you guys have thought of it.
Thanks for you time and your input. I appreciate it.
Take care and happy gaming.

I think I have brain damage. Too many years of playing MMO's have likely damaged my neural pathways to the point that what I find fun others may not. For me the fun part of Borderlands for me is the quick satisfaction of the combat and loot system combined with easy-to-accomplish tasks. There's also that co-op stuff if you like to be with people.
I'd say check out this podcast from Adam Sessler, it fairly adequately sums up the whole Borderlands experience for me:

2. I think if you're not a paying member your limit is 10 minutes. As for music, I don't think they police that too much. I've done stuff with uncredited music and didn't hear anything about it. I guess the same might go for game footage. Probably good to do it anyways though. As for language, I think you can mark it that it's for mature audiences or something
3. Haven't purchased a game from them, but I've done lots of other products and I usually choose the free shipping option, which means it could take a lifetime...but I'm cheap and it's free.
4. Haven't played it but I plan on it. When I do I'll let you know and maybe we can play co-op
I play with anybody. It's always better to play with some you know in real life, or someone you've played online long enough with to know their play style. I had one friend back home that was the only person I would ever play Forza 2 with because we had similar tastes in race and car types. I typically only play Halo 3 with my cousin, he's one of the few people that can keep me loose given the amount of jerks in that given arena. Some games, Diablo II and CoDWaW's zombie levels, for example, I've only ever played with randoms, and I typically have a pretty good time, especially if you're in a particularly trying level. Doesn't quite compare to the camraderie you get from playing with people you're on a first-name basis with, though.
