I'm completing my second week of University, but it is only my first full week of cIasses. I'm still adjusting myself to read my books everyday and not get behind. I was a little bit behind, but I powered through.
NOTE: This my turn out to be a long blog. Meh. I know a few users will read it all and be interested.
A reminder for friends and acquaintances: I go to a liberal arts university.
I recently decided that I don't need to choose my major. I believe that I can do a double major! That's my goal anyways. I wonder if I could get a double honor and not make a thesis. That would be really awesome to a level beyond comprehension. Ah yes, I'm pursuing Criminology and Political Science.
Corrections [Criminology]
It's a ****about the correctional system with a focus on the Canadian system. In other words, it's about the historical evolution of institutional (prisons, ect) and community-based correctional services (parole, ect). It's not the most exciting cIass, but it will do. The professor is kinda uninspiring to say the least. The tests shouldn't be too challenging Friend Status: Negative
International Relations I [Political Science]
This is a particularly interesting cIass. Anyone interested in the news and global relations? 'Cuz that's what I get and I like it. The work load is not bad. Not much essays or test to do, but that also means that it would not go well if I **** up with a B+. I like the professor. He's pretty engaging. Friend Status: Negative
Introduction to Qualitative Research Methods [Criminology]
I'm not sure how this cIass will go. However, it's the same professor as my Intro to Crim, so that means great fun. From what my sister went through, this is a really stressful cIass. That's what I'm gearing up for. We'll have to do a semi-structured interview for an hour and all the work that goes with it. That means having quality questions, not like the **** you see on TV. Formulating our goal for the interview. In other words, what we are trying to found out. Contact someone that will do it. The topic has to do with criminology so we need to find someone that's involved in some remote way with the criminal justice system. It's a real hassle and a group work. Friend Status: Positive
Understanding Music [Fine Arts]
Surprise!: lol: I needed another fine arts or science cIass to get my bachelor. Last year, I had a science cIass, which resulted in a poor yield. This is actually pretty cool. I'm going to learn about stuff in cIassical music. However, it's not about music theory. It's about being able to recognize stuff (genre, form, instruments, ect) in music. I finally have music to listen to while writing my essays. I used to use Last fm, but since they force most people to pay for the service I stopped using it. The professor showed us a place that we can listen to a bunch of cIassical music. It's a paying website, but our university's library has a deal with them and we don't pay for it. I was browsing through the catalogues and I found some Joe Hisashi songs, video game OST, movie soundtracks, metal (artist from Trustkill Records), rock (Bare Naked Ladies, Rain Maida), and bunch of random other stuff. Anyways, the professor knows his stuff and is energetic. It's going to be an easy cIass for sure. He told us exactly what is on the test. Friend Status: Positive
P.S: Eddy, remember when we were talking about Orchestra and Symphony. We were talking about what was the difference. I now know the answer. ![]()
Western Tradition of Political Philosophy [Political Science]
This will be another great cIass. Philosophy + Poli-sci. I'm going to be great at that. Hurrah for previous philosophy knowledge. This will be another decent cIass in terms of essays. The proffessor is interesting too. Philosophy always makes me think. I like that. Friend Status: Positive
Except for Qualitative, most of my cIass won't require much work. I'm excluding the reading here. I have only one essay that's about 8 pages or more. The rest are small 5 pages papers. This is going to be good. One cIass out five that won't be interesting or fun. All in all, it's going to be a good semester.
Vivaldi - Spring (I hope the three movements are there).
Comments
The fourth sounds good.
The last one is crap.
That's what I think at least
And why is there a link to Vivaldi's spring?
@Gohansephiroth: The majority of them have essays.
@Xzaxs: Blasphemy.
And your scheduale kind of sounds boring. You should have been like me and gone for a double major in Accounting and Finance with a possible minor in economics.
I see, did you listen to his Winter? The third movement is my favorite. I label it as Metal some times
