GAMES: GameSpot GameFAQs MOVIES: Metacritic Movietome Comic-Con

When I left on vacation new movies were starting to come out; now everything at the cinema is pretty much new. On Thursday, I saw a new movie, which I kinda forgot to blog about. So, now I'm doing a double movie blog once more.

A movie with Adam Sandler? You don't see him as much as before. Anyways, another Judd Apatow movie. I've heard two distinct opinions about this movie. It was either that was going to regret it or that it was a decent movie (3.5/5). I'd have to agree with the later group. It had a good premise, but it started to falter towards the end. I also agree with Rotten Tomatoes' assessment that the film "features the requisite humor, as well as considerable emotional depth, resulting in Judd Apatow's most mature film to date." The movie still retains some crude Apatow comedy, but this movie is driven by the dialogue and performance rather than just humour.

I just saw this one. Another Comedy-drama. It was a charming little movie. Not a laugh fest. Before anyone points and laugh, it was either this or The Time Traveler's Wife. Anyways, I liked the performances and the french parts. Not much else to say... I guess it's a 6.5. Another decent movie.

P.S: To the Americans, go see Ponyo...

I liked Apatow's previous films so I guess I'll be watching this one too...not sure about Julie and Julia though, not my kind of movie

You're right, we don't see Adam that much nowadays. He's not that much of a comedian, but his movies were still really fun to watch.

I wouldn't mind seeing funny people.

@hank_101: It's Studio Ghibli. No one can touch them.
@aaronmullan: I thought the same.
@ herviross_2: It's a movie perfect for your mother.
@-Katsuri-: What he does with the material is funny more than his jokes.
@msudude211: I have to catch up in the summer.

@NuKkU: My reasoning is already there. It's not a chick flick though. It's for 40+ year olds.
@herviross_2: You don't like cooking.
@ uas-2001: o_O You hermit.

Some of the previews for "Funny People" make it look like a decent movie. I'll probably get around to seeing it eventually "Julie and Julia" looks like a boring movie to me
