Quick question for those of you that are editors of people. Have you ever been in touch with any of the people who's pages you edit.

It's funny, how I actually got started with this website, I was very very (very) bored at work, my semester at the university was over and, I was, once again, sick of working on my book so after surfing tv.com and checking out when some show I was watching was broadcasting, I joined the website and got to work on Burt Lancaster's page. From then on, I've collected, as stated in a previous blog, quite a few interesting characters.

While most of my editorships are of actors that passed away and for obvious reason I doubt I'll ever hear from them (and, if I do, please make sure to lock me up and throw away the key) I also happen to be the editor of a few actors who are alive and kicking and, for at least for two of them, I hold the most detailed webpage on them. For example, Jeff fahey: When I took over the Jeff Fahey's page there were like three posts on the page and one of them was a totally copied biography which I had to change. I worked really hard to collect as much information on his as possible from interviews, articles related to him, forums etc. and, seriously it's now the most detailed and interesting page on him. So I sent him an email and referred him to the website and asked to verify a few items on the page with him, and nothing. I know it's very presumptuous of me to assume that a celebrity like him would actually respond, but come on, my page is now by far better than IMDB's page on him and he's been referring people to IMDB to read about him! And another one is Demore Barnes. Once again, as far as I can tell I have the best page on him which also, I built from total scrap. Now, I think that Demore actually is on tv.com once in a while, but I will avoid advertising his user details, I've PM'd him twice regarding his page and nothing. I've been completely ignored.

I just wanted to know if any of you had any positive experiences with your editorships.

Well, I guess I'm just ranting as I've just had a measles vaccine, I've got a low fever and I'm feeling a bit under the weather.

Later!

Not very happy with my results but seeing that I wanted to marry Mighty Mouse when I was very very very young, I guess I had this coming.

Your Result: Mickey Mouse

Michael Moorcock is by far one of my favorite authors. His Eternal Champion series is, in my opionion, one of the best fantasy series available and while I enjoy reading Tolkien, C.S. Lewis and Zelazny, I admit Michael's stories have an edge to...

kwell1 must really love MovieTome and agree with every review we've ever written! What other reason could kwell1 possibly have for not rating a single film?
