A good film. A dissapointing Bond film.

Quantum of Solace is an enjoyable film, but it lacks something Casino Royale had.

Casino Royale had a catchy, rhythmic title sequence song whereas Quantum of Solace has a forgetful song at best, but thats not relevant. The action scenes, although spectacular, had an average shot length of about 0.163 seconds and possessed an excessively shaky camera to the extent where I had to adjust my eyes so that I could tell what was going on.

It has a good, unpredictable story however. There are many twists and turns throughout the 1 hour 40 minute journey. And thats a good point, it was too short for a Bond film. While I like films that are short and sweet, I also enjoy a film that dives deep into the plot and shows the viewer every last detail of the story. Just like Casino Royale.

Daniel Craig, in my opinion is still a worthy 007, showing us pieces of excellence in the fight scenes. But Bond has changed for the worst; He isn't as resistant and arrogant as usual. There aren't many all out gun fights in the film which was disappointing to say the least.

Maybe I anticipated it too much. But Quantum of Solace is still a worthy watch and should be high on anybody's to see list.

It is a good film. But it just lacks the same well-developed story and unblemished acting of Ritchie's past two creditable films, Snatch. and Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. But I'll try not to compare it to them.

RocknRolla does have an in-depth, interesting story but, for me, fails to accurately tell it to the audience by going off on tangents all the time. I'm not saying it's hard to understand, its just that its all a bit messy in places. I was expecting an all-out-shoot-everybody-you-see crime film but actually I was presented, to my surprise, with a film in which if you miss one line the whole story may be ruined. The acting in some places is a little sketchy, not overly bad, but enough that you can notice it. However, I was impressed with Gerard Butler, you may recall from the film 300, as One Two and also Toby Kebbel, you may recall from Dead Man's Shoes, as Johnny Quid. They both put in excellent performances and made the film a little more creditable.

Overall, I enjoyed RocknRolla and it was well worth the money, but its just when you link it to Guy Ritchie's name that it takes away some of the excellency.

What a thrill! Utterly staggering action!

I’ll start by saying that this film is one of the most action packed of the year. Not one minute of it is the slightest dull. I went into screen 5 expecting an average film. It exceeded my expectations by far.
Even the plot, which sounds predictable before you see the movie, is most of the time unpredictable. The close quarter combat scenes are some of the best I have seen in recent films.
As soon as you lay your eyes on the film you instantly become a fan of Liam Neeson, I was taken aback by the action scenes featuring him which basically means I was taken aback by the whole film. It really is brilliant. I highly recommend it. An excellent piece of cinema and an ultimately satisfying Experience.

A fresh new film to add to the western genre and nothing more.

Appaloosa isn't a bad film; it’s just not great and doesn't excite the viewer as much as expected. The plot is very predictable even though it is based on the book: Sheriff takes over, finds a girl, girl gets kidnapped, all go on a mass hunt for girl. Nothing really surprised me.
I did like however, the performance of Viggo Mortenson who plays the deputy, Everett. I thought he acted consistently well throughout.
I do recommend this film to the western fans simply because westerns are rare these days. But for those of you looking for an all-out action film, stay clear.
It's kind of a romance and western entwined in that Alison, played by Renée Zellweger, is this promiscuous and unfaithful figure involved with the sheriff.

Overall there are some ups and some downs. An average film.
