Running a Big Ship

I would really like to see a game that gives me the opportunity to run a big spaceship, well relatively big, something like 10-20 crew. I am tired of the one-man fighters, I would like to take the command chair and hire my crew, customise my ship and fight a few tactical battles. In Homeworld you had to run a huge fleet which I didnt like but it was better than flying solo.
