A sample of my skills in melee. I don't have Brawl, even though I'm better than my friends who OWN the game. You'd be embarass if you owned Brawl and your friends came over and beat you with your own game, on your own Wii, and in your own house? I would. Lol. But like I was saying, I don't own the game so I'm trying to perfect my skill in Melee. Oh and I get pawned a couple of times too by the computers.

I haven't played SSBM before but those were some pretty slick moves you pulled off

Awesome video Kirby, you're really good with Marth that for sure, you hold your own against three level 9 computers, congrat on the win.

I've owned all the smash bros games, and eh, it's been a while since I played Melee, but I don't see anything that amazing. Not that I ever cared about wavedashing and the like.

If you want to practice seriously, then play against 3 level 9 CPU's that are on the same team (team attack off, of course). That's how I used to practice.

As far as winning at Brawl goes, the reduced speed makes it a lot easier for Melee veterans, plus, being beaten by someone who's played an earlier edition of a game is not the same as being beaten by a person who's never played the series.

It's just a shame I haven't had anyone to play brawl against.

Thanks serbine. lol. And yes, practicing with 3 level 9 computers on the same team would be a good idea. This was just a video of a practice against 3 computers nothing amazing, as you said. But I play Brawl and I play with Marth and I win most of the time with my friends who played melee before and have brawl. But if I could get a Wii and Brawl and if you have internet connection we could play one day.

Well, if you want to do any more videos in the future, I'd suggest doing a 1 on 1, so we can actually see what you're doing better. Or make a video of you taking on a team of your friends. Humans are much more interesting than CPUs anyway.

And did these friends used to beat you in Melee? Because if you used to be top dog in Melee, then there's no reason for that to change just because they're the ones with a copy of Brawl.

Well, I'd consider it, but Australia doesn't like locals trying to play online games with overseas people. In other words, Australia has lousy internet

Yeah. My next vid will be between Me(Marth) and my brother(Peach). He doesn't use any advance tricks unlike me but he's still good. And that's ashame for you man. Are you good at Brawl or okay?

No problem, can't wait for the next video then, well I could've play against you Alx222 in Brawl if I still had it but my lil bro trade it in at gamestopit was his game btw, also my favorite part was when you did a backflip jump and grab onto the ledge again.
Posted Apr 12, 2009 12:07 am PT
That's sad. What did he trade it in for?
Posted Apr 12, 2009 12:59 am PT
@Kirby: At brawl, I'd say okay, mostly because I haven't had any human competition, so I haven't really played it as much as I used to play Melee.

@serbine: You're in Australia? Can't remember if you've told me that before or not Pity about that, would have been nice to have somebody to play against.
Posted Apr 12, 2009 9:59 pm PT
Kirby: Well he traded it in for cash he wanted to ship something out plus he brought some food to cook and soda(I believe)since everyone was broke on that day, also he not much of a collector anyway.

Alx222: No, I live in the US, yeah I only was able to play against one of my friend(had two register friends)who live in the UK, so it would've been nice to have someone else to fight.

Lol. Eventually, when I get a Wii and Brawl, I'll be able to be in that conversion...but
Alx: Which would you say is better?
Serbine: Ha. I get that. My cousin is the same. Even though its his I still want to play them but he trades em' in anyway....I guess when they get older they'll understand.

Yeah, I feel that way as well, he use to have a bunch of awesome games which I still wish we had, well between the two I have to say Brawl because it alot more funner to me, Melee is great but I get beat up too much with Brawl I fair abit better.
Posted Apr 13, 2009 1:10 am PT
Yeah. But I prefer melee cause it kinda feels better than brawl and the dodge in brawl isn't good like melee.
Posted Apr 13, 2009 10:59 am PT
Do you mean because there no wavedashing?
Posted Apr 13, 2009 12:47 pm PT
No. Regular dodging. Like when I dodge in the air when someone is attacking, sometimes its too late or too early but in melee when you dodge it feels better.
Posted Apr 13, 2009 1:12 pm PT
Oh I see, you'll get better as you play it more, I'm not too good at dodging myself.
Posted Apr 21, 2009 6:43 pm PT
whoops, looks like things are still going.

@serbine: Unfortunately, as I said, Australia has lousy internet, and a game like Brawl would probably be unplayable to another country due to lag.

@kirby: Well, I gave my copy of Melee to someone else before I got Brawl, so I haven't really compared them. I like brawl because it has more content, more options, and sonic, but I'd say Melee was better, for being more intense.

Though, I'm probably a little more biased towards the one I actually played against people
