I know I'm two days behind my 3-Year Anniversary, but I started homeschool Monday, and it hasn't been fun.
First off, you know how sometimes people's blog topics say something like: '2 Year Anniversary (more like one)'? Okay, so maybe not very many people's blogs are like that, but mine probably is, in every way, shape, or form. It's my 3-Year Anniversary and it feels like a year and a half. It's sad that it's like that, but I was only on my Gamespot profile for, I dunno, six months, and then the two and a half years was spent doing ABSOLUTELY nothing but playing games, going to school, and hanging out with my family. Call it a vacation. Oh well, at leat I have some buds to chat about games with me. Anyways, that's all of that. For kicks, I'll do a little predicting for my three-year anniversary.
Okay, I'm going to try my best to predict the The Big Three's places in the middle and toward the end of this current gen. I know people have prefrences and may get upset by my predictions, but, I've been through worse, and it is my three-year anniversary, right?![]()
By the middle of the Console War, I believe that Nintendo will be on top slightly. With Brawl, Galaxy, and Mario Kart Wii, I believe the Wii will draw more people in. And, by that time, other first-party titles, such as Animal Crossing, should be out. And who knows? Maybe with the Virtual Console game Kid Icarus and Pit's arrival to Brawl, it might spark a much-awaited, much-anticipated sequel.
I haven't kept much tabs on the first next-gen system to hit the market, but I think that the Xbox 360 will be behind Nintendo by a slight margin. Again, I haven't kept tabs on Bill Gate's game machine, butI think by this time they'll be a quarter of the way done with the 360, and will announce their next bundle of joy soon.
And of course, the PS3 is on the bottom. I dunno why, but remember the buzz Lair got at E3? Remember Gamespot's reception of the game? All this time, I was thinking it was going to be this 360 killer, but became another adequate game with flashy graphics. Same goes for Heavenly Sword. And I believe that Konami will take MGS4's 'so-called' "PS3 Exclusive" will also splash onto the 360. I know this has already been claimed, but it will happen. I know the PS3 just dropped their price to $400 Big Boys, but if they don't drop it by the end of this generation, it's questionab;e if there will be a Playstation 4 (which you know there will be).
Okay, real quick, here is the final standings of the current gen:
1. Nintendo Wii. Sorry Xbox fans and PS3 fanboys, but I believe that Nintendo's captivating way to play will win the current gen race. Only something more innovative will have to top this.
2. Xbox 360. Yes, it will be an EXTREMELY close race between Wii and 360, but the Microsoft game box will take a punch from the Wii for the team. It is an incredibly awesome piece of machinery, has tremendous online play, and some extraordinary games under its belt by this time, but they can pull it together for the next gen.
3. Playstation 3. I think they'll drop their price again before the gen's end, but I think it'll be too late by then. Hopefully by then the good games would have pushed it farther up the chart. Again a great piece of hardware, and it looks like it will have many good games by the time of the end of the gen, but I think people will be too distracted by its price tag.
Well that's it. Peace, y'all!
