Yes, I will be away for a week and I hope to get some things done while I'm away. I'll be here for one more night after tonight (it is currently about 12:20 AM/00:20).
Now, I must decide. I am wondering of which game I should get. I have three choices: Fable II, Fallout 3, and Mass Effect. I have always been very indecisive and I have too much trouble with decisions. Which do you think I should get?
After some semi-absence, I am here to write something which will be of interest to few of you. Here are ten albums that I want this year and why I want them.
Atheist - untitled
One of the most well-known technical/progressive death metal/jazz fusion (yes, really) bands. I have only Unquestionable Presence, but I am interested in hearing more. It has been almost sixteen years since their previous album, Elements, so it will be interesting to hear how they have developed since then.
My guessed rating: 4/5
Beastie Boys - Hot Sauce Committee, Pt. 1
The first "proper" (with vocals) Beastie Boys album since 2004. I want to hear if they are sounding a little more lively than on To the 5 Boroughs.
My guessed rating 3˝/5
Behemoth - Evangelion
I haven't had much interest in Demigod and The Apostasy, but I have a little more in this one. I like the album art, so that's one thing to make it more appealing to me.
My guessed rating: 4/5
Dr. Dre - Detox
His previous album, 2001, was released about ten years ago. Detox is like the Chinese Democracy (Guns N' Roses album) of rap. I hope that it doesn't have more than 12 tracks (like too many modern rap albums).
My guessed rating: 3˝/5
Dream Theater - Black Clouds and Silver Linings
People are calling this their "best" since Scenes from a Memory and I am hoping for an album that has just some of the feel of Images and Words, so this could be worth getting.
My guessed rating: 4/5
Immortal - All Shall Fall
It has been seven years since their last album, so here is another one of those albums. I'm hoping for this to be another album like At the Heart of Winter, which featured epic and atmospheric "blackened thrash" songs.
My guessed rating: 4˝/5
Megadeth - Endgame
Their previous album, United Abominations, did not disappoint me at all and is one of my favourite Megadeth albums. Of the four "big thrash" bands, Megadeth are the only one who give me any hope. It's supposed to sound more like the older Megadeth, too.
My guessed rating: 4/5
Morbid Angel - untitled
This will be their first album with the original vocalist, David Vincent (who is one of my favourite vocalists), since 1995's Domination. It will be very interesting to see what happens with this one.
My guessed rating: 4˝/5
Shakira - untitled
After the non-disappointing Fijación oral, vol. 1, I am intrigued to hear how things have gone with the upcoming album. I have heard one song, Loba (which is the Spanish version of one single), and, fortunately, it didn't disappoint me. It would be good to hear something like Pies descalzos, though.
My guessed rating: 4/5
Slayer - World Painted Blood
Slayer aren't what they used to be, mainly the vocalist, Tom Araya, whose voice just isn't the same as it once was. I'm not sure if I will really like this album, but I can at least try. I'm wondering if the vocals should be moved into the death metal area (death growls seem to age well) like with Testament, but I have read that this might be their last album.
My guessed rating: 3/5
And that is it.
Here is I'm in Love with My Car by Queen.
Told my girl I'll have to forget her
Rather buy me a new carburettor!
I looked out my window today and I saw something interesting.
Dense fog. I can't remember ever seeing that happen at night. I wonder if it has anything to do with the warmer temperature of the day.
This is what happened when I used the camera flash.
I also bought some things today:
Serpico
Casino
Megadeth: Rude Awakening DVD
James Blunt - All the Lost Souls (It was $7 for the CD/DVD version.)
And... for a song... uh...
Here is Threatened by Michael Jackson.
