Alriiiiiiiiiiiiighie I'm here for a quick update. I was gonna do this a couple weeks ago but lost track.
I'm okay, my gf's okay, we finally started university this year, I'm doing a bachelor of commerce and science conjoint, shes doing med. The uni's the best one in the whole country and ranked 45-55 annually so that was good (parents would hv killed me if i didn't get in). We are all doing great! 
Bought a Wiiiiiiiiiii on release, that was extremely suckie (and I don't mean it tht way).
Waiting for the shiny shiny black coated, silver box called a PS3 to come out still.. (soon)
AND NOW THE REAL REASON OF THE BLOG:

I got this on release (22nd of Feb), crawled to the nearest EB store, played it and after 50 mins I'm like him:

I'd have to agree with you about FFXII. I haven't bought it yet, just borrowed it from work, but what I have played just didn't touch the greatness of the past FFs. I'm waiting for it to go greatest hits before I actually buy it. ^_^;
