keeping my fingers crossed for you too. Hope everything works out the way you want it to. What's the Mooncake festival?
Posted Sep 3, 2008 7:16 am PT
Thanks reaper and shewolf!

It's uhh... something like a Moon-viewing festival. It is officially known as the Mid-Autumn Festival.

The festival falls on the 15th day of the 8th Lunar month each year. So-called "Enjoy viewing the moon while eating cakes (called Mooncakes)" Since we eat the mooncakes, we call it the Mooncake festival too. lol

Amanda: I'm just glad you were there to make me laugh with your weird "stuff" even though i was almost on the brink of breaking down at some point. The Breathing Effigy helped. It really did

Freya: And i hope you get what you want in life too. I definitely hope i can make it. But i'll just have to accept it if i get rejected again, anyway.

Siberian: No more depression! Just a little more worries. (Atarimae desshou?!)There's no way i'm not worrying. But at least, i'm not stalling all my responsibilities and other things that i have to do.

Gato: Yet again, your words always manage to calm me down, no matter the ocassion. Thanks Gato. Honestly, i was looking to chat with you on IM a number of times during my depression streak, but i couldn't find you. lol

DrAwesome : Awesome words... "get approved" Thanks lol

congradulations on passing the entrance exams and scholarships. Best of luck for approvals to university. I absolutely love mooncakes and look forward to zhong qiu jie. I like the story of the extra nine suns and the lady in the moon. I give pomelo with my close friends. In my family besides me I have just one sister with her daughter who observe the mooncake festival.

The rest do not know what they are missing.

Posted Sep 3, 2008 10:23 pm PT
Jim: Thanks for your well wishes. And i only like sweet pomelos lol. I can't take those that are sour I hope you gets lotsa mooncakes! lol. The more mooncakes you get/give away, the more friends and relatives who think and care about you, you have. But that also means gaining weight from eating too many mooncakes. hahaha~

Gato: Hey! So you're the one who's always playing the Invisible game... But i'm usually "Online", so if you don't see me, that means you're not on either lol.

After the Mooncake festival my walks increase from 5 or 6 to around 8-10 kilometres.

Unless I go to the galleria - I wore a pedometre there one day and racked up 37 kilometres from mostly window shopping and wandering. There is so much space between the good shops and when you spend an entire day .... and now that it has been expanded there is no telling how far you can wander in that place.

Whoa...You really had a hell of "adventure" there...That last insert about family rejections looked most upsetting too. Sorry you had to go through so much. It really sucks the school rejected you because of problems with documentation. I really wish you the best though in getting in !

Glad you're over your depression! Hope the best for you.
Posted Sep 4, 2008 1:37 pm PT
Jim: 47 freakin kilometres! I can't even survive 2.4km (squeals at the very mention of NAPFA test). The only thing i care to do is eat, i realize i don't exercise at all..

Kenshin: Yeah, that was the part that really beat the hell out of me throughout the whole process. One moment, family says ok, one moment they change their mind... i seriously didn't know what to do, nor who to talk to...

IpodHero: Thanks! The Great Depression is officially over,ya? lol
Posted Sep 4, 2008 5:03 pm PT
ooo goodluck mate... it sure sound slike a busy month
i guessn thats life for ya... i really need to get more busy, becuase compared to you.. im a bludger (australian word for a person who mucks around and doesnt get a job and gets paid for it)

i went througha stage with depression as well.. now u will feel much better.. we'll chat soon

Posted Sep 4, 2008 7:04 pm PT
Still no answer? well I wish best of lucks in that regard I really hope you get it!
Posted Sep 5, 2008 12:43 am PT
Paul: lol... in other words, a slacker? haha~ I do agree on that part where you said you should try to be more busy though. Or else you'll end up like all those people in Wall-E.

Luis: Yup, still no news, until maybe January 2009. And we all know how messy the politics is in Tokyo now. Fukuda-sensei was the one who opened doors to foreign students, and now he's decided to quit. Just great, ya?
Posted Sep 5, 2008 7:42 am PT
yeah, just peachy, you know japanese people don't like to rush things, at least not the older generations...
Posted Sep 5, 2008 8:20 am PT
hehehe ... Im getting confused with the Invisible Game ... But I always enter to see if u r there . Have to try again aroun 11:00 am and 12:00 pm of your time
Posted Sep 5, 2008 9:16 am PT
Luis: Peachy eh? lol. Nobody likes to rush things eh? But one PM has quitted after one another after like less than one year. Honestly! Who can implement reforms efficiently only just ONE year? All these PMs need to be more patient. Or rather, the opposition parties just need to be more open when it comes to improving the people's lives.

Gato: Yes, we've missed each other again by just a few minutes. I read your offline messages hahaha~ *secret* I sleep until about 11am on weekends hahaha~

FG supports KC till the world's end. We're buddies, right? I still remember the so many times we say the exact same things at almost the same time. Tha't really weird, and, I think, more than just mere coincidences. If you need anything, you know I'm always here for you. Although I keep on bugging/teasing/annoying you, you know I'm a true friend.
Posted Sep 6, 2008 2:43 am PT
Wahahaha~ What else could it be except telepathy? lol. Maybe we have superpowers which allow us to read minds. lol. Ok, point taken, Ant supports me. Thanks

EDIT this from 47 to 37 km I said 37 NOT 47 km. still a long way but quite a difference.

In miles the diff is down from 30 to 20 in miles. That is more practical for a shopping all day long at a huge multi story galleria.

all day marathon at the galleria. but I also eat at the food court a couple times. I spend a lot of time in the stores. btw 37 km 22 miles, more than i would do at one time. you don't realize how much walking you do when you spend the day shopping - that is all. I bet you put in 20 km sometimes when at a day at school going back and forth to classes - just don't know it. An accurate pedometre is a luxury item. could have bought a Wii for the price of that thing. I did a blog for Ramadan and probably will do one for harvest festival in a few days too. and then Eid.

it's not that hard to find what MEXT is... i literally google-ed it and the first item that appeared was the right answer to your question. DIY lazy bum

All pomelos are great - all mooncakes are delish.

MEXT is not hard to find if you don't already know what it is.

A PC makes a wonderful home library.

Unfortunately I come down with stomach flu on the day before the Mooncake Festival

I can exchange them but NOT eat so save for when I feel better.

I have had two soda cracker and about 120 grams of tea today and not a thing yesterday.

But I no longer feel hunger

On positive side this is the beginning of a wonderful diet

Why do i feel like Jim just wrote a poem on my blog? hahaha~ Too bad for your stomach flu... however, Nobody said you cannot eat mooncakes after the festival. In fact, mooncakes get cheaper after the festival, because they have to get rid of the stock before they expire. hahaha~
