My principle is "Stay away from them.."
It's the time of the year again, it's the 7th Lunar Month, it's the Hungry Ghost Festival starting this Friday (1st August).
A few things make this year's festival a little different.
Recently, i've stupidly engaged myself in a horror game by Square Enix (Nanashi no Geemu, "774" in short). 774 is not THAT scary... but I am a scaredy cat. So... yeah, dumb as i am, i've even stopped playing it for now, after i got caught by this stupid ghost in a book store (in the game).
Also, my parents are apparently obsessed with this Hong Kong variety show which interviews all sorts of people with horror experiences. And they're always watching that show in my presence, i WANT to ignore the show, BUT the TV volume is just so friggin loud!! *ugh*
Most of all, i now work in a hospital! Fun eh?! No. I think my hospital's going to hold some praying ceremony/session some time soon. To pray for the spirits' blessings? Or to protect ourselves from these spirits... hahaha~ Either way, the hospital is considered a "dirty" place for us superstitious beings. I think i have to watch what i do too. There are A LOT of do's and don'ts. I just have to be more "careful" than ever, i guess. The most common caution i got is to avoid coming in "close proximity" with the newly dead. But it's not like it's something i can avoid so easily. It's like a ... daily thing... for me that i get to see the newly-dead being transported to the mortuary.
Well... i should really take Symon's advice of tying my talisman around my neck. Just in case.
Ugh... just seems like i'm more afraid than previous years LOL

You should be cautious of the living. They're the ones that can rob you or stab you or do some other kind of harm.
That's just my point of view anyway.
It's the "disturbance" we're all trying to avoid.
Also love scary movies - I have been trying to give myself nightmares for years...watch monster movies and play creepy games at night with the lights out - preferably during a storm
I think all the major religions have cleansing ceremonies to remove disturbed spirits. Who hasn't enjoyed Friday the 13th
Someday if you come to Bolivia I'll invite you to one of our spiritual chats, I'm not that superstitious you see, but some of them are really scary.
People who claimed they are not afraid of ghosts, you are in actual fact proving their existence lol
I myself believe spirits exist. There's just too many a time that i've had direct contact with stuff like this. Like i said, it's not fear. It's just the feeling of "unease" and the fact that we want to "avoid" it at al costs.In my opinion, ghosts have been "glorified" in horror movies, they're not THAT scary. Just that, being "disturbed" is just not a good thing, no good on our 'yang', no good for our health, no good for business/career, no good for anyone who has come in to "contact".
It's sounding more like taboo now. lol.

hahaha~Ive lost touch with anything spiritual now. Not came into contact with any spirits in the last 3 years or more. Used to get haunted in my old house as a young boy lol. Even got a tap on the shoulder by the ghost. Scary. But im not so scared anymore. Got better things to worry about than the dead. Less it was a zombie then id maybe run lol.
So.. if it's spiritual, does it even exist? lol. It's always a grey area. But, i still believe in it.
Hmm, actually that is an interesting discussion to have lol.
Next school year will be in another location.
children will be happier at home and able to wear black clothes again.
While I won't be able to see them cuz they are leaving the area that is better than living in THAT place where they need an exorcism.

and hell yes im superstitious as well.. sometimes, like i dont believe in zombies and T-virus infected moonster but im still scared of them ahha
