GAMES: GameSpot GameFAQs MOVIES: Metacritic Movietome Comic-Con

This was actually a reply to Hussein in the System Wars board. And I figure, what the heck, I guess I'll share it with you guys. I'll add a bit more stuff though. This is what I feel so tell me if you agree with me or disagree.

FPS/Sports. You need to have a good amount of skill and good
instincts to be able to play these games, but you don't THINK about it
after you're done, there's no afterthought. I await the day where an FPS gives me an everlasting memory. Some games like Halo managed to do something like that, although quite weakly. The majority of it was just shooting Covenant and Flood.

I've probably told
some of my buddies how cool I was with that one shot I made going
through 3 heads at once or twice a long time ago in Counter-Strike. But after that?
There's no lasting memory of it, none of my friends care or remember.
The only thing lasting is the game itself, you remember the game but
you don't remember what you did IN the game.

With JRPGs, or
any RPGs for that matter, you remember everything there was about the
game, you remember all the characters you've met, the bosses you
fought, the twists and turns your characters and you went through, and
that just gives you a memory you can cherish forever. You see, this is
one of the reasons the greatest games of all time aren't FPS or sports
games.

Some people just don't have opinions. Like ken_gamer.
ken_gamer must really love MovieTome and agree with every review we've ever written! What other reason could ken_gamer possibly have for not rating a single film?
