Part 30

Danny stepped out of the shower, and remembered that he had forgotten to lock the apartment door before he had undressed. He got out of the bathroom to lock it. He was a little surprised to find that the door was already locked. "I guess I must have locked it before I got to the shower. Or maybe the landlord locked it for me. Well, that doesn't matter, I have to get ready for the date."
He decided between two outfits, and decided to go with the less flashy one. He didn't want to be a show-off, since he had only seen Tiffany a few times. He was trying to remember what time they had set for the date, but couldn't remember that they had set a time. He decided to call Tiffany.

- "Hello", Tiffany answered with a soft voice.
- "Hi, it's me, Danny."
- "Yeah, I know. I do have caller ID, you know".
- "Oh yeah, should have thought about that".
- "So, what did you have in mind?"
- "I was going to ask you what time I was supposed to pick you up tonight?"
- "Tonight? That was yesterday!"
- "Yesterday? I thought we decided to watch the movie tonight." Danny felt surprised.
- "Well, we decided yesterday, and you didn't even call me or anything. I was mad at you then, but I know how tired you sounded yesterday, so I guess you just dozed off or something. I didn't want to wake you up anyway."
- "Oh.. I had no idea.. I thought that it was still tuesday. I'm really, really sorry."
- "Well, that's ok. But I'm not available for doing anything tonight. We have to reschedule for another day instead. And the rest of this week will be hard for me, since I'm working all the days of the rest of this week."
- "Okay. Maybe we can talk again closer to the weekend, to see if we can find a good time to see that movie. I will try to find some way to compensate you for my mistake last night."
- "I already said that it's ok, so you don't have to talk about it anymore. Danny, I really have to go now, but we'll talk another time, ok?"
- "Okay, take care."
- "You too."

After hanging up, Danny tried to retrace his steps from the night before, but he couldn't think of anything strange that had happened. The landlord had left, and then the alarm had buzzed and after that Danny had jumped in the shower. Between that, he couldn't remember that he had done anything special. "Well, that has to be a later problem, now I have to find something else to do today".
He decided to call Matt to see what he was doing.
