Hey all

First thanks to everyone who posted to my last blog *hugs* Now that I've had some time to get over the shock of changing the Major, I feel great about changing it - an yes at some point I will change my AboutMe thing, but I'm feeling to lazy to do it right now Now I just have to keep working my but off until I get all my projects up to where they need to be.

Second, sorry I haven't been around much lately. Haven't had much time to be online. Most weeks I only have the 4 hours in my portfolio clas to be online. But thankfully my summer break will be a full 4 weeks long so I'll have plenty of time to be on here, this time we will get the net hooked back up. Than again I still have 6 weeks of clas to go.

Signed up for next qtr - should have 4 Game related clases so that will be nice. I took the regular 5 clases a week. I almost set it up to do the condenced clases - longer days less weeks, if I would have done that my break would have been a full 9 weeks, but I figured being at mom's for that long, we'd kill eachother - just kidding, so decided to just do normal clases.

I got The Invisible Man Season 1 DVDs watched them all in 2 days. And the OTH Season 4 set - currently watching them.

Jumped from 52% to 75% on Wens (last week) with 12 subs - and another 35 to post , insomnia makes for good time to watch DVDs.

I hate to admit it, but I didn't really like SN ep - Ghostfacers. Now sure, there was some funny points and it was great to have the show back, but I really didn't like the fact that the guys were a secondary part of the show and the "Ghostfacers" stuff was the main plot. I'm sorry but if I want to watch a show like that I'd turn on Discovery channel and watch there 3 shows that involve team going into haunted houses with the cameras and such. --- BUT next weeks one with Long-Distance Caller - OMFG!!!!! That one looks like it is going to be totally awsome.

As for last night's Dexter - room full of blood - OMG! OMG! OMG! LOVED IT, LOVED IT. It was freakin' awsome! Almost fell off my bed laughing when he slipped in the room. The part with Dex hitting Paul with the frying pan and his reaction after. The way things are going I keep getting the feeling that the one dude is Dex's bio-brother.

I have a rather "Bloody" short story under works righ now For my writing clas I couldn't use the novel draft I've been working on so I had to come up with something new. So I did, and from the few people in clas that have read it, they think it is good and I am sick . When it is finished I think it will be about 50 pages. It's about people that start out in a house for a murder mystery game, but then people really start to die.

And as for the roommate front. I will, mostl ikely, get one at the start of next quarter. We all got letters in our boxes that asked for those who want to switch rooms to switch now, because next quarter all the empty spaces will be filled . Darn, I was kind of hopin' I'd make it an entire year without one, but oh well.

Anywho, I gotta get back to work so until next time.

Nope, this isn't a delayed April Fool's prank, I really switched my Major Kind of a bit freaked, but happy.

I switched over to the GAD program - Game Art Design. Ok, everyone pick their jaws up off the floor I know that in the past I had said that I didn't think I'd ever switch from Animation, but over the last 2 quarters I'd been seeing some really interesting things coming from the students in that program, things I knew I'd like to do. And the other day in Chris Lials clas he showed us on of the demo game sequences from on of the recent grads, and I knew I really wanted to get into that program.

In animation ALL of the portfolios look the same, the poses are the same, sure there is a wide range of talent, but an employer sees all the same stuff. Everyone has a "T" pose, a walk cycle, a run cycle, character mods, textures, and so on. In the GAD program we can make full game demos that an employer can play, students are getting hired before they even graduate here. Plus right now in the job market it is harder for a new animation student to get a good job, mostly grunt work - including getting coffee rather than animation stuff. But the Game job market is getting better and better. So, on Friday I switched.

I talked to Mom about it and she kind of snickered, cause she suspected a while back that I would be good for the program, and kind of knew that I might switch. I told her, before talking to Robbie, that just hinting at the idea that I would switch would put a huge smile on his face, and it did. He has been bugging me to switch for almost a year! Anyway, it isn't going to affect my graduation day, thankfully, should be June 2009. And most of my grades from the clases I've already taken will transfer over, only going to los an A (Acting for Animation) and B- (Script Writing), sure it sucks but oh well.

I have decided that I really really really like Dexter, that show rocks! (Not as much as Supernatural, but still up there ) I hope CBS decides to keep running that show, and not just do the first season and then say to see more bet Show Time on cable. I have to say it is funny, that I knew who the Ice Truck Killer was, the FIRST time they even showed the guy

The computer next to me is bugging the crap out of me right now! It keeps beeping, 6 beeps, stops, 6 beeps, over and over and over........ And I can't get it to stop.

Well I'm off for now, gonna go donate blood again.

My oh so very long break is over. Sucked being away from the net for that many days .

So, after clas ended that friday, went home finished packing, mom picked me up, and we got stuck and Grandma's house until after 3pm on Saturday, ugh!!!! that was soooo dull. Now don't get me wrong, I love my grandparents but they have gotten to the point where they can't follow along simple conversations, and grandma keeps asking the same things over, and over and over..... again. The early part of Saturday was better cause my 2 aunts came over, it was nice to see them again. The drive to Moses Lake was nice, sunny.

THe week there wasn't too interesting. I got to play with the cats, slept, watched tv. I didn't get much of my outside stuff done. It was way too cold to be in the garage working, it isnt insulated so it was cold. I kept forgetting the Net wasn't connected, and kept turning on the computer before I remembered.

Little Bit is CRAZY big time, good thing she is mom's. The kitten plays fetch with not only the hair bands and balls, but also paint brushes, our cell hones, and anything she can get hold of. She also picks fights with my cats, tries to attack Van by sitting on her head - very funny to watch. She is now about twice the size she was in Dec. Bazil's face has gotten kind of chubby, cause she wolfs her food now when Bit gets near her, but don't call her chubby, she gets mad. Her mama is preg again - big time. and so is one of the other cats - who has to be due any day now. We wanted to catch them, but were unable to get the cages the week I was there.

On that note. Most of you will remember how I blogged that the stupid people at the Moses Lake animal shelter were going to kill Bit and the other 4 week old kittens when mom brought them in (months ago) but she took them back home... Well she was talking to the lady that runs the animal sancuary the other day at work. She is having the shelter investogated by the state because I guess a few weeks ago, she was in looking at the animals - to rescue the ones about to be killed. Anyway, she noticed one that looked sick, told the shelter workers, they told her it wasn't sick, when the lady said she would take that one to care for, they told her they couldn't let "Sick" animals get adopted, and before she knew it, one of the workers took the cat, took it into the back and they killed it!!! with her right there... She reported them to the state because there are a lot of sick animals there, they aren't given food or water, and their eutinasia rate is over OVER 80%. So hopefully the state will take the place over, soon.

Back to break. This past weekend was insane!!! on saturday we drove into Spokane for a wedding, it showed there. On Sunday I came back to school. When we got up that morning there was a fresh 6 inch layer of SNOW!!! it is freaking the end of MARCH and it was snowing - HARD, WTF!!! so it was snowing off and on all the way home. We even got stopped on Snoqualime (I soooo spelled that wrong ) for avalanch controll - we got stopped 3 cars back from the front of the line we almost made it through before they closed the road. Thankfully the expected 1 hour to 3 hour stoppage only lasted 30 min. And after we were out of the mountains it was a mixture of snow and rain even into Seattle.

It is crazy it is Spring yet Washington state keeps getting pounded with show. Yesterday we had Hail that caused several roads to be closed and people were ditching their cars at the side of the road to get them later.

But the BEST THING IN THE WORLD also happened on Sunday. As we went up to my floor, I kept my fingers crossed (really did) that when I opened the door, there wouldn't be a roommate there. And there WASN'T, I somehow in all the oddness that it is, I DON'T have a roommate *happy dance* *happy dance* I get the apartment all to myself again

My grades for last quarter were better than I had expected. Overall 3.4 GPA got out of the Philosophy clas with a B- , that being the only clas I was worried about. rest B's and an A.

This Qtr I have: Wen - Portfolio Foundations, Analytical Writing (night clas ), Thurs - Digital Prod 2, Hardsurface and Org 2 (Night clas - so I will have to record Supernatural and hope my VCR works ) and Fri - Advanced Life Drawing (last life clas ).

I finished my new icon, hope you all like it Plus, I think I found a way to get the programs I have on my computer, to make Animated Gifs. If I can get them to work online, then my Sig, Icon, and Ban will all be done with them - some of my Twisted Images look soo funny animated

I did get my hair cut, she took about 18 inches off. It felt really funny for a few days right after, not having all that hair pulling down on my head.

NEWS REPORT:
So lastnight I was watching the news and this story came on that was a WTF!!! kind of a thing. A group of 11 3rd graders ( ages 7 - 9 ) were arrested after they plotted to kill their teacher, 3rd graders!!! . The cops found: knives, rope, tape, Handcuffs, and other items with the kids. BUT, and this is the part that ticks me off. "NO CHARGES WILL BE FILED AGAINST THE STUDENTS IN THIS CASE" because they are too young to be charged. I'm sorry but WTF!!! if the kids are "smart" enough to plot out the murder and have the items intended to use - on school porperty - they should get charged!!!
