Ok so i am playing the Dawn of War 2 Beta and it feels more like a bad Demo, technically i find nothing wrong with the game, but the setup of the demo is no fun. first off they've drastically changed the way the game handles and plays, that's cool and all but there is no skirmish mode or tutorial that i can find and as such, to learn the game you must spend hours of getting your @$$ handed to you by better players while you try to finure out how the revised economy works how do you build structures and command units. the game has changed and it isn't a world in conflict type where you can just pick it up. and it is so much harder to learn online against @holes. i only just realized where resources are on screen, i thought they wree displayed ontop, only to learn at the end of a match that no that is the victory meter. the game seems like it could be fun, but if this is gonna be the first experience for alot of players it is gonna turn more people off than anything else. feeling like a looser is not fun, and right now that is all i feel like a idiot looser who can't feel his way around this new game in time to not loose matches over and over agian. how hard is a simple tutorial to include. agian maybe there is one but the menu system isn't as intuitive as it used to be. On another note i used the remodeled live for windows and that is greatly improved if only laggy.

It always bums me out when gamers who enjoy a good game feel the total opposite because other players attack or alienate them. In truth, there is no solid advice I can share besides the obvious... we are all noobs at one point
Even if you know a game well, there is others out there who love when things are revamped or changed simply so they can excel and brag while they can. Its not hard to understand, but karma will have its way with them... try to enjoy the beta/demo, because there is a fair chance once you adapt and assimilate the others... they may not want to play against you anymore

Well you know, in this day and age where Demos are so rare now, we should be happy with at least being ABLE to play a demo before we buy.

Yeah well i got two friends to download and install the beta through steam, then we did practice games agianst AI, this helped immensely i didn't even realize till like three games in that there is no base building at all in the game, unless you choose the tech hero you don't build a single structure, the game feels like there are less units, and that is cool i feel like the real variety is in the hero units. as i played i developed a prefered build for my force commander, lightning hammer, with teleport and speed armor. so much fun. this game plays more like a diablo or world in conflict than a Star craft or anything it is very unique and i am learning to love it. i just wish they had put a way to learn the game in there that was more apparent

i would like to point out that the tyranids are my biggest dissapointment, they are so flat, visually relic dropped the ball, they aren't animated well at all, and their sounds are very weak.
