Hi everyone

I have received recenty these from a couple of friends and I thought you would enjoy them. I highlighted my three favorites.

HERE ARE SOME TIPS THAT MAY BRING YOU A BEAUTFUL LIFE!

Take a 10-30 minute walk every day and while you walk, smile!

Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day.

When you wake up in the morning, complete the following statement: "My purpose is to ____________ today".

Live with the three E's: Energy, Enthusiasm and Empathy and the three F's: Faith, Family and Friends.

Spend more time with people over the age of 70 and under the age of six.

Dream more while you are awake.

Try to make at least three people smile each day.

Realize that life is a school and you are here to learn. Pass all your tests. Problems are simply part of the curriculum that appear and fade away like algebra cla$$ but the lessons you learn will last a lifetime.

Smile and laugh more. It will keep the energy vampires away.

Life isn't fair, but it's still good.

Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.

Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.

You don't have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.

Make peace with your past, so it won't mess up the present.

Don't compare your life to others'. You have no idea what their journey is all about.

Burn the candles, use the nice sheets. Don't save it for a special occasion. Today is special.

No one is in charge of your happiness except you.

Forgive everyone for everything.

What other people think of you is none of your business.

Time heals almost everything. Give time, time.

However good or bad a situation is, it will change.

Your job won't take care of you when you are sick, your friends will. Stay in touch.

Get rid of anything that isn't useful, beautiful or joyful.

The best is yet to come.

No matter how you feel, get, dress up and show up.

Do the right thing.

Call your family often.

Each night before you go to bed complete the following statements: "I am thankful for _______________" and "Today I accomplished _______________".

Remember that you are too blessed to be stressed.

Enjoy the ride. Remember that this is not Disney World and you certainly don't want a fast pass. Make the most of it and enjoy the ride.

Hope is some extraordinary spiritual grace that God gives us to control our fears, not to oust them.

Hope begins in the dark, the stubborn hope that if you just show up and try to do the right thing, the dawn will come.

The Beauty of God's Creation
I'm out of ones that I took, so we move on with other beautiful photos. This one is from the American midwest. I've always loved fountains and will have some more in future blogs.

Quotes of the Blog

These are all from one of my favorite current shows, Bones.

Booth: Did you know that giraffes can weigh up to two tons?
Bones: Yes. Everyone knows that.
Booth: And they sleep less than two hours a day.
Bones: That I did not know.
Booth: Yes! Pinky stumps The Brain!

Angela: Booth's brilliant at pretending to be stupider than he actually is, most of the time.
Bones: Brilliant at stupidity?
Angela: Mhm. Especially around you.

Brennan: I don't wanna be a sexy scientist.
Booth: Well that's like me saying I don't wanna be a sexy FBI agent. We can't change who we are.

Wisdom From The East
Life just is. You have to flow with it.
It is for us to make the effort. The result is always in God's hands.

Thanks for reading. I hope everyone has a great rest of the week!

Hey Ivy!! A comment within 30 minutes - impressive! Congrats on being first.

Hi Karl! I really like the idea of setting a goal at the start of each day. Of course, it's not so good if the goal isn't accomplished by the end so let's scratch that idea. Well, I don't know many people under the age of six and over 70. Energy vampires. Interesting. "Forgive everyone for everything." Umm... no. I think everyone should do the right thing! Imagine how nice the world would be if everyone did. "Remember that you are too blessed to be stressed." Oh, I like that. Thanks for the sayings Karl! I really like the photo, although the water looks really nasty. The fountain thing is cool though. WATCH ANTM TODAY!

Hi Karl! I need to print these out and use these. Although I do think we all need to hate others a little bit. I suppose other's opinions don't matter too much after all. Have a great rest of the week!!

Hi Karl! They are nice sayings. Thanks for them
Posted May 13, 2009 8:54 pm PT
Happy blog! So not in the mood for that now. I'm so f*cking pissed at Hart Hanson. I'll be back and comment when I'm in a better mood

Hi Karl, Some of those things are kind of hard to do if you're a hermit! But if we can replace a few of those with be kind and loving to animals then I'm there. Love the Bones quotes, sometimes I think I hear myself thru their words.

Thank you for sharing! Very helpful sayings for everyone.
Posted May 14, 2009 4:49 am PT
Wow, I'm swimming in positive energy, haha! This one's my favorite: "Spend more time with people over the age of 70 and under the age of six." I think that's a great idea!

GASP! You actually wrote a blog without my insistence! It's a miracle! Seriously though, those are some great sayings, especially the one about taking a walk, and spending time with the young and elderly. Love the Bones quotes as well. Have a lovely day.

Hello Karl These are the ones that I like the most:

Dream more while you are awake.

Burn the candles, use the nice sheets. Don't save it for a special occasion. Today is special.

No one is in charge of your happiness except you.

I love fountains as well. I recently took a pic of a nice one too. Funny quotes, everybody seems to like that show a lot. Have a nice end of the week. Hugs

Nice sayings. Thanks.
Posted May 14, 2009 3:33 pm PT
Many great sayings there, Karl. My favorite was easy:

"Don't compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is all about."

Nice pic as well! Though I prefer waterfalls over fountains!

I enjoyed reading them. Thanks Karl.

Nice blog That's a really beautiful picture. lol love the quotes, especially the last one.
Posted May 15, 2009 3:09 am PT
Karl, thank you so much. These sayings gave me an instant lift. Sometimes I find myself bogged down by trivial daily problems. These sayings remind me that I need to relax and enjoy myself more.

Hi there Karl. What a very nice blog. I hope that you have a great rest of the week to. Take Care.

I'm late Oh well I'm here now I've heard of most of those tips, and I actually live by them Especially the 3 E's and F's Sorry, but I can't live by the candle quote You know what happens when I light a candle I love the bold ones I think I'll print them out and hang them on my corkboard I like them My heart skipped a beat when I saw that picture It looks familiar You should try some Lindenwood ones I've got some good ones on photobucket I'll take a look at them and make sure my good ones are up You could use them for future blogs if you like I like the Wisdom from the East quote too I must admit that this is one of my favorite blogs Great job

Hellllooooooooo Ivy,

Well yes, the daily goal seting only works if you don't beat yourself up over not achieving it. I guess you could always make it attainable like: eat breakfast, have a shower, get to school, etc.

I like the fountain too. I confess I was so captivated by the fountain that I missed the water! And, I'm sorry about ANTM/CNTM. But do have a spectacular long weekend.

Hi Al,

I would be honored if you would print them out. I will admit that sometimes hatred has served as a motivator, but I don't think it's a healthy way of doing things in the long term.

Hi CasaBonitas83,

You're very welcome. I'm glad you liked them!
Posted May 15, 2009 9:04 pm PT
Hey Daria,

OK, see you when you're feeling happier. Are you talking about the Hart Hanson who writes for Bones? I was going send you a PM to ask what you thought of the season finale. I guess that answers my question.
Posted May 15, 2009 9:07 pm PT
Hi April,

Nice to hear from you, as always. I'm a hermit myself, so I hear you. A few of them are still very doable, although as you say, not easily. Which words are those now? Are you saying that you're a sexy TV.com archiving expert?
Posted May 15, 2009 9:10 pm PT
Hi RevBucky,

You're welcome. Thank you for stopping by and have a good weekend.
Posted May 15, 2009 9:10 pm PT
Hi EM99,

Oh good, it worked! I'm going to send you a PM about the rest of your comment. I owe you one anyway.
Posted May 15, 2009 9:12 pm PT
Gabriella!!

Yup! Wonders never cease, do they? Maybe you could say that there was enough residual pestering energy left behind from your previous efforts.

I'm glad you like the quotes. Happy Weekend to you!

Hi BM,

Thanks for sharing your favorites. the happiness one is great, isn't it? You'll have to share your fountain photo with us sometime. *** hugs ***

Hi Mike,

You're welcome. thanks for stopping by and have a nice weekend.
Posted May 15, 2009 9:15 pm PT
Hi TG,

Thanks for the great idea to use waterfalls in future blogs - I was running short of ideas. I'm adding that to my list. My office wall calendar for this year is of waterfalls, so I love them too.
Posted May 15, 2009 9:16 pm PT
Hi Ocean58,

You're welcome - I'm glad you enjoyed them and thank you for stopping by.
Posted May 15, 2009 9:17 pm PT
Hi again Daria,

I KNEW you'd like the quotes. No doubt the last one would be a favorite.
Posted May 15, 2009 9:18 pm PT
Hi Kath,

You're very, very welcome. I'm glad that they gave you a lift. I try to do that with my blogs and it's always to hear that I succeed once in a while. Thank so much for stopping by.

I guess should reread them because I get bogged down in daily problems all the time.

Hi Twopratt,

Thank you! Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!
Posted May 15, 2009 9:21 pm PT
Hi Teresa,

I was wondering if you would recognize the picture. I was set to give you all sorts of grief if you hadn't. :lol Once in a blue moon, you seem to be a tad forgetful these days. *** he says with a completely straight face ***

I can see where you would be a 3 E's and F's girl. Actually it says to burn the candles. The candles, not **cough** other things. Oooh, that's two people printing them out. I'm honored.

I'm glad you liked the blog. Thanks for the nice comment and have a great weekend. OH, and no worries about being 'late,' I'm quite late in responding this time.
Posted May 15, 2009 9:26 pm PT
Completely straight face! HAH!!!!! You're laughing at me!!!! That's okay because I am too Once this summer is over, you'll see a lot more pics from me They'll be trees and creeks and flowers and animals I encounter in the woods KARL!!!!! Burning my hair was an accident! It's better than burning a curtain or my clothes Or someone else's hair I guess being late runs in the family
Posted May 17, 2009 7:34 am PT
No, Teresa, it was actaully with a complete straight face. Hair? Who said anything about burning hair? I didn't mention hair. I was just reminding you of the comment, that's all.
Posted May 18, 2009 9:33 pm PT
Well, not getting to 40 comments is a sign!
Posted May 23, 2009 3:40 pm PT
I mean, I'm going to be silly and write four comments so that I can keep my streak intact, but it reinforces that it's a good time to take a break.
Posted May 23, 2009 3:41 pm PT
I have mixed feelings about the fall schedule, but at least some of my favorite shows are back, and that's great.
Posted May 23, 2009 3:42 pm PT
OK then: Comment #40. On with the next blog.
