So I've installed the public beta of Microsofts Windows 7 over XP (SP2), which I've used practically since its launch in 2001. I must admit it's one hell of a change, but definately one for the better. It's a lot faster booting up, though I'm not sure if thats due to my hard drive not being fragmented for the first time since I got it It's a lot more user friendly, though when I was setting up my network settings, I felt it was a little too dumbed down, and that it didn't give me access to everything I wanted it to.

I'd definately recommend it, though you might want to do what I didn't and dual boot by installing it in a separate partition.

Got a few screens for those who are interested:

My currently rediculously empty desktop ^^.

Pretty empty menu bar.

Example of a window in the "Libraries" section.

How does it compare to Vista?

It's not a drastic overhaul from vista to be honest, but it isn't worse than vista in any aspect. More like windows 6.5 maybe haha.

I've got it dual-booted on a MacBook, pretty good. However, I don't get much time to use it as all my work I need is in OS X Hard Drive
