Based on a number of sources ABC has been making plans and breaking hearts today.

Eastwick will not get any additional episodes ordered. So their plan is to run all of the thirteen initial episodes shot and end the show then.

So Eastwick is canceled.

The forgotten is considered the stronger of the two shows and so ABC has ordered an additional five episodes of the Tuesday night procedural.

I believe that will bring the number of episodes to eighteen, but I will have to get that verified.

On another note the Kathy Griffin hosted show "Let's Dance" has been canceled by ABC altogether.

Interesting developments. It's difficult for me to say much as I actually like both Eastwick and the forgotten, but probably Eastwick a little more. The forgotten is interesting and I like Slater, but it just doesn't seem to pull you in. Eastwick's characters are more engaging. Can you say Jerry Bruckheimer? (Producer of the forgotten!)

Just though I'd update you. Thanks for reading...

Jeffery

It's not much of a surprise, but it still saddens me to see Eastwick getting canceled. I won't miss it as much as the other shows (Firefly, Journeyman, Jericho, etc.) that's been pulled before its time. The good news is Jaime Ray Newman can go back full-time to Eureka.

Wow didnt know the ratings for Eastwick were that bad and the Forgotten. At least Slater's show has lasted longer than his last year one.

Hey Jeffery ... hope u are doing well.. its been a while ^^... like you im one of the minority that actually likes Eastwick... i'll be sorry to see it go ... was dl'ing The Forgotten but it will probably stay in the stack for a while.... I miss Firefly too Mack *sigh

I'm going to miss "Eastwick" and I actually think that it is a much better show than "The Forgotten", with its pseudo meaningful stories (sorry for that ...). While last weeks episode of "The Forgotten" is still waiting to be watched, I've already seen and enjoyed "Eastwick".

Hi Jeffery, I like both shows, but it wouldn't bother me if I missed an episode of either one, that kind of says it all. I think they are hanging on to "The Forgotten" because it's a Bruckheimer production. I like Slater too, but I preferred him in "My Own Worst Enemy".

The fourth ep is online...

Hey! Too bad about Eastwick. There seemed to be a lot of ppl here that enjpyed it. The power of Bruckheimer has save the forgotten, which you knoe I enjoy. I think I may have heard of Let's Dance but I'm not a fan of Kathy Griffin at all so to me that's no loss. See ya later!

Thanks for the news on Eastwick. I was wondering a lot if they were going to get renewed because the viewers were low. So sad though because I'm really starting to get into it! I haven't seen the Forgotten, but love JerryB and CSI. Thanks for the update, hope you had a good aniversary and have a good week

Can't really comment as I don't watch either show

Hi Clemontine, It is sad, the show has been a little uneven though, but the characters are interesting at least.

Hey Mack, I thought the same thing about Jaime Ray Newman. I really like her a lot and she was great in Eureka. It may work out in the end! I think I miss Firefly the most of those listed.

I am soooo upset about Eastwick I watched the Forgotten for one episode and really didn't like it. Eastwick is a much better show, I really wanted it to last...

I haven't watched either show. It's a pity networks are so fickle. I don't think they realize it discourages people from watching in the first place...

efc91, Yeah, I thought they would pull the forgotten first, but I think its numbers have strengthened. Unfortunately don't get to happy if anyone is a the forgotten fan. I don't think it will be renewed for next year.
It has been a while Tish! I hope you are good as well. Yeah, its sad when something decent is squashed. I won't be as upset as I was by say Firefly and Moonlight for example.

Hi Bea, Let's face it the forgotten for all its Bruckheimer glory has not found a story to tell yet. They keep trying, but it just doesn't resonate with most people. I really like Slater, but that's not enough. You can see they are trying though.
Hi Lady K, when you're right, you're right!

Hi April, You hit the nail on the head. I have DVR'd episodes of the forgotten and haven't watched them for a week. Actually I generally watched Eastwick as I am not a CSI:NY fan and there is nothing else on then. I've actually watched almost every episode of the original CSI though. Bruckheimer is the reason the forgotten is still on!
Hi Lady K, I already read it and replied to it.

Hi Emiko, Yes, sad for the people that really like Eastwick. I have enjoyed it but won't be devastated. I was wondering if anyone was going to say anything about Kathy Griffin! I think your statement is perfect on that subject.
Hey Shane, Thanks man! Hello Vish, You were not alone obviously!

Hello Sherasbear, I think you are probably in the majority that have watched it. People will miss it. It has good characters and some interesting storylines. I think it moved too quickly in some storylines and too slowly in others. I could write a whole blog about it. Hi M00n, yup, I think it does. Also I think telling people that something probably will be canceled early on is prophetic.

That really sucks. I actually liked Eastwick.

Hey Jon, You're not alone in that!

Not really seen or heard much of any of those shows. As The Forgotten has been given an extended run I might give that a go, especially as Tuesday is a fairly quiet night for me.

Hi Dan, Remember it probably won't get renewed for next year though. The main thing it has going for it is Bruckheimer. Thanks, Jeffery
