Alright,
I am currently in the process of going through games that are on ArmorGames.com (FYI, GemCraft Chapter 0 is great). One of the games I found was called "Fancy Pants Adventures". Sounded dumb, so of course I had to try it out. And, if you need a quick Sonic fix, this is just the game for you. It transported me back to the age when Sonic was GOOD in his 2D era. Of course, you are playing a stick figure with guess what? Fancy pants 
. Anyways, there are two worlds available, the first at least is somewhat short, but it is many-pathed (like a good Sonic game) so you can get some good fun in. Also, can you collect all 5 trophies?

I'm might check it out. I still consider Sonic The Hedgehog 2 to be the greatest platformer of all time.

That game was a lot of fun. I didn't get the last trophy. Four out of five isn't bad for the first play-through.

Armorgames is a great site and GemCraft is absolutely superb. There's another Gemcraft in the site, a prequel to Chapter 0, which you might also want to try.
And yes, Fancy Pants Adventure was quite fun. I've played a lot of games on this site. You should try Bubble Tanks 2 too
