Hi all,
Just a quick update today. A couple days ago, I got passed this in FFX-2 and it blew me away. You kinda have to know the story to understand the song, but here it is anyways:
Alright, I am wondering if there is any music CD out there with the songs to various games on it. I would be most specifically interested in Square Enix (for those who don't have IM, my current fav song is "Simple and Clean" from KH1). There are just so many good songs in games. I wonder if there's a compilation somewhere...
Okay, so last night I made a big mistake. I turned on my PS2

FFX-2 is one of those games that deserves GameSpot's icon for "bad first impressions". This might sound like a negative (and in many ways it is), but the point is that now that I am through the initial shock, I am enjoying the game a LOT more. I don't know how my team will stand up against a boss, but I am hopeful (Yuna-Songstress, Rikku-Warrior, Paine-Gunner). It was rather fun trying to figure out which character looked best in what outfit. I also enjoy the open-nature of the game. I actually don't fully know what I'm supposed to be doing at the moment, but I know where I should head to once I'm done with my pleasure wandering, which is exactly what I think a game should do. Also, the real thing is to get used to the new combat. Now that I have played through quite a few battles, I have the general hang of it. In fact, one of my favorite things is that one can change the speed of battles. So, I expect to be playing bosses on slow, but for now, I am playing on FAST, which is rather fun as the action is quickly-paced and with the option turned on that remembers what I last did, I am able to keep up. I still don't really have the skills to use the blue gunner fully (or whatever that class is) as I don't feel like switching abilities constantly based on who my enemies are, but I am enjoying the standard gunner class enough to stick with that. I just hope Rikku & Paine catch up (Yuna has been singing and dancing for a while now, so she has several skills maxed out).
I'll try to update again once I play some more...
