I was listening to some podcasts on my iPod and I heard a good interview with a couple of the behind the scene's guys on Babylon 5. I thought the show was great when it was on. The effects, the stories, the way the characters interacted with each other were very enjoyable to me.

Was that show before its time or was it just not as good as I thought it was?

Why of course I do. The new Battlestar Galactica reminds me of B5, in some ways.

It's very good, but I didn't have time to get into it. It was slow-moving though, if I remember, correctly.

Hindsight, they say, is 20/20. The writing was ahead of its time. The outlandish aliens and production values ran off as many people as the writing brought to the series. It was an excellent multi-year arc show and in that regard it was way ahead of its time.

I miss it, but I wish they had received more financial support and backing when it was on.

It coulda been a contender for the best of all time.

I only watched a couple of episodes of B5, but the one thing that I ~do~ know is that Neil Gaiman wrote an episode!

I never saw B5. I was 6 or so when it was on. But then again, I was watching Star Trek when I was 6 or so... I guess I didn't have an interest in it.

everyone needs to watch B5. it was deffinetly ahead in graphics and writing. star trek was still using corny models when these guys took advantage of computer graphics and this was the first american show that attempted a 5 yr story arc. it was the best. all the spin offs sucked though
