Today I acquired a Zune. My cousin gave me his old one because he got an iPod Touch. Well, it's my first ever music player. I never really listen to music that much, but now I guess I will, or at least podcasts.
I tried setting up my Zune account online, and it is that hardest thing ever! The problem was that I'm not over 18, so they need a parent's email to set up parental controls. Sounds easy right? Wrong! Only Microsoft can make something that should be easy so complicated. After finally having them accept an email address, (it wouldn't take one at verizon.net for some reason) I was off to load up my Zune with music- errr- podcasts rather.
I'm now subscribed to eight podcasts and after taking a loooong time for them to download, the time has come to sync my Zune to my computer. Simple task, right? Correct! It is simple! Although for some reason it has taken over 2 hours and I'm only at 69%! I just hope it doesn't normally take this long, because my computer runs really slowly while it's syncing. Whatever, I hope it works out. Oh yea, and I don't even have earphones for it! I need to remember to get some. Well that's it for now; I'll blog about the Zune later in the week after I've actually used it a bit.

Remember that, my small child.
and the sync depends on how much data transfer you have, so that might be why its taking a long time.
Typical of MS, when the Zune first came out, the software wasn't too bad, but they prettied it up and dumbed it down and made a mess of it.
Hang in there with it, and you'll see why the Zune is good.
As for me, I tell everyone that my $40 mp3 player does all the same stuff as the other two, is more compatible with more things, and I dont have to mess with any of all the crap they have to deal with just for the "cool," brand. *shrug* Oh well, that's how the world is I guess.
