Finally got my copy of Homecoming today 
, well what can I say? I guess I can say yeah ive enjoyed it so far!! found myself hooked its a good game. Combat isnt as bad as I thought it would be, its actually a welcoming change for me it makes it more enjoyable. I guess you could only say my only compaints so far is the rare save points and it does feel like a silent hill game... but its still not quite silent hillish If you know what I mean? you can definatelty feel the american influence in it and its been quite unoriginal compared to the rest of the series nothing here weve not seen in a previous game in the series really. But apart from those things yeah I think its a good game and it is underrated.

jbot pretty much covered the main points.. the game is indeed WAY too inconsistent for it's own good, but if you can get past it's rough spots it can be enjoyable.

Have fun with the game.
It probably isn't the SH game we all wished, but it's a decent game nonetheless.

I really liked Homecoming overall. It has it's ups and downs, but it's a great ride. It's story is probably my second favourite of the series after SH2 and I loved the comabt system. Shame about the lack of real puzzles though.

Glad you finally got this game; its definitely a roller coaster ride of a game for me. It had some parts that were really great then there where parts that were a bit of a let down. To sum it up the beginning was great, then I hit a bit of a lull and was like meh, then it picks us again and stays pretty consistent after that. overall good effort form Konami.
