A solution to my online burnout

I made a thread about this in the forums, but I decided I'd start my blog off by posting all of my forum ideas into my blog for hindsight purposes. Being a big fan of online shooters, I have recently discovered that the only reason I get tired of playing them has nothing to do with the fact that I get burnt out on the gameplay. Sure I may to an extent, but it's nothing I can't recover from with a day or so of rest. What really turns me off from playing the game is the fact that I will be confined to the same maps the majority of the time that I play. So I have come up with a great idea. If developers were to create a team dedicated to doing nothing but creating multiplayer maps to be released as DLC on XBL at a given interval (perhaps every 2 or 3 months?), not only could they make some good money, but it would allow them to focus on their future projects while still staying committed to their current game and it would keep gamers really happy. This way, gamers could always have something to look forward to from their favorite online game and always know when to expect new content. They could even make it a subscription charge paid yearly in MS points or a charge that is directly attached to your gamertag subscription. This would really make me happy and would give me a great viewpoint on the development teams of such games.
