Time is an interesting concept, when your young and have fewer responsibilities it seems to last forever. However, when your older with more responsibilities, and the frustration that comes with them, it passes you by so fast that it seems like you never have time for anything. Maybe its just an indicator that you are no longer a kid, and its time to step aside and let the next generation enjoy their youth while moving yourself further and further into the realm of adulthood.
When I first started visiting this site, I was a skinny, short 8yr old looking 12yr old who use ride my bicycle to the library to look up gameshark codes with my friends for whatever game I was playing at the time. I'm now a 15 year old looking 21yr old 3rd year college student who can't believe that I've been visiting this site this long. In July, I will have been a registered member for four years.
Alot has changed since I was a teenager. Before Cd burners came around, we recorded songs onto cassette tapes. We actually bought cd's from a store, and we actually had to go to a store to buy things. No teenagers had cell phones. When we needed to call our parents, or a friend to give us a ride somewhere, we used pay phones. The internet wasn't yet very popular, and we actually went outside and played baseball, football, etc. I never see kids organizing pickup games at the park anymore.
So what does this all mean you say? Times are changing, and their changing quickly. I finally get the old saying "Kids these days...", my kids will likely joke with me about how I used to use cd's, and cassete tapes, just how I used to joke with my dad about how he used to use records, and 8-tracks. Its all relative.
