Summer is most definitely over. As I look out my window the leaves are flying off the trees (literally), and the temperature gets a little cooler every day. I had to turn on the heat for the first time about a week ago. The summer seemed to go by very fast this year. It makes you remember those summers when you were 8 or so, when the summer seemed to last forever.
