Set overview: Probably the best used of the gyarados sets used today. Taunt stops walls such as Skarmory. Dragon Dance buffers both speed AND attack and gives quite the bonus to its attacks. Stone Edge helps to counter other gyarados and hits zapdos for about 70 percent if it switches into a dragon dance.

Set Overview: This is a tough pokemon to take down after just 1 dragon dance (topping it out at a wonderful 524 (correct me if im wrong) attack stat. The given EVs allow it to get to 241 Speed, which is enough to outrun a max speed Timid Starmie after one Dragon Dance. I perfer Leftovers > Life Orb because Life Orb diminishes Gyara's ability to survives.

Move 4: Stone Edge

Nature: Adamant (+Attack, - Sp Attack

EV Spread: 252 Attack, 184 Speed, 74 HP

Set Overview: Ouch. 524 attack never hurt so much. Nothing resists IceWaterGroundRock either. Ice Fang should be an OHKO on gliscor. EVs allow it to outrun max speed Jolly Tyranitar.

Counters: Cresselia works as a reliable counter, as does celebi when stone edge is absent. Weezing and Dusknoir wrok the best, and to a lesser extent, Vaporeon and Milotic
