So, instead of studying for my last exam, I was busy fooling around in Photoshop, and before I knew it, I had created my sig. I think this one is about twenty times better than my previous one, and I hope I can continue this unprecedented improvement Nah, I realize that I still have a long way to go before I can make a sig like those guys in Liquid D, but I'm on the way there.
And without further interuprion, I present to you, mah second sig.

He he, beautiful, isn't it? Makes me want to cry
Rate it, and tell me how I can improve if you have had experience with these sorts of things.

I just have one problem, I can't seem to get a border around it Any help for a noob?

I dunno, I think your first one may be a bit better. I'd give this one an 5/10

Lots of ways to do borders. I like doing it this way:
1) Press CTRL + A to select the sig
2) Edit > Stroke
Here's some settings you can use for your first border:
* 3-5 pixels wide
* colour black
* capacity about 50-60%
* blending mode = soft light

Hm. Looks nice, actually. I like the theme, and the look but I've seen it done better. 5.7/10

brush strokes>angled strokes only work well as an accent filter, not as a be all-end all filter in your sig. try apply image, spatter, set it to overlay, lower the opacity. get rid of that splatter brush and make it smaller around the render (make them small). as for text, use something simpler. try serif fonts, don't go for the more outlandish text unless they fit the sig perfectly (e.g. a sig with a rapper can use "anglo" or "beckett" text). as for teh border, it's too big IMO. did you filter>sharpen>sharpen, edit>fade sharpen? it's slightly blurry in some areas

7/10 still room for much improvement but i like it, just keep asking for advice and robbing other peoples ideas and you should be fine
