Finally beat Blue Oyster Cult's "(Dont' Fear) The Reaper" on expert drums. Took a lot of practice. Probably 3hrs of just practicing that song over 2 weeks. I will never play it solo again!! Only multiplayer where someone can save me.
Ok, now for the real reason I wanted to blog today. Colors. Portable game systems and colors.... and how I want to buy them all. As you know, I need to replace my DS. Spencer says that it isn't worth buying a new DS since Nintendo may announce a new portable soon. And I agree with this for the general gamer... but for my uses and the games I want to play this year, I need to replace my DS lite. And I love this color.
On the other side of things, I was eyeing the PSP today. And wow does this red one look nice:
I was interested because of the Patapon game that just came out. As well as the older Jeanne d'Arc, the recent Downstream Panic!, and the future Final Fantasy VII. There is a God of War PSP bundle coming in June that is similar.. but I don't especially care for the Kratos graphic on the back. Not like you look at the back of the system while you play anyway, right? It might be worth saving $100 to just get the US version.
So what now? I will probably order the DS in the near future, and continue to dream about the PSP. In the mean time, I plan on getting Sins of a Solar Empire. That game looks epic. This comes from the PCGamer podcast that I listen to regularly. I find myself leaning towards the games that the guys on there play, as it tends to be ones that I like a lot (see: TF2).
I might even get one of those Gran Turismo wheels... but I'm not sure what I can adhere it too. A tray table?
