Well, I'm ever so slowly moving up here at TV.com. I just don't have the time to keep up with some of you guys! Anyway, since my last blog I've moved up to Level 29 (38%) - Volgar the Enforcer. I also got the cute little cupcake emblem and picked up the editorship for Mindy Cohn. She played Natalie on The Facts of Life and is now the voice of Velma on Scooby Doo.
I've a quick question and would like some advice. Recently a new family built a house just down the street from mine. The kid comes over to my house all the time, and I'm one of those people who stays so busy that I don't like a lot of company in my downtime anyway - especially students (though I don't teach him). To top it off, he asks a lot of weird questions like how many people live at my house, when does my check come, what nights do I work, etc.. Also, this kid's reputation preceded him. Though I didn't know him personally, I had been warned that he had a reputation for bothering neighbors and stealing. Living on such a quiet street, I've long had the habit of not locking my car at night. Several days ago, my son's Gameboy SP went missing out of the Explorer. When I saw the kid the next day, he mentioned that he saw someone in my car and I told him how appalled I was that someone would steal, how hard I worked, my values, etc. Lo and behold, the kid seemed to find the SP on the ground the next day. I told him that I now set the alarm on my vehicle every night. Anyway, bottom line is that I don't trust him, but I can't seem to come right out and tell him to "go away". Any advice?

As for the kid, tell him you have a relative who comes by every now and then and that he works for one of the police departments in the area.....
maritimer - That's a great idea. I do have some "friends" on the force. I think I'll throw that in for good measure.
I just hope it works. Thanks, guys!
Congrats on your new editorship, level, and emblem!
As for the kid, set up hidden cameras in the house so you can moniter him. If you catch him on tape, report the issue to the police and his parents.
hmmm other than the police story all I got is tell him a story... That the last time somebody tried to mess with you or your things that your VERY LARGE brother stayed with you until the situation was resolved. that's all I got sorry hun...
