Hey everyone, I know its been a long time, but oh well. I have a son now, his name is Kadyn, and he is 8 months old. Cutest little baby in the whole world. I'm getting married next year some time to my fiancé Christina. And I work at Les Schwabs, which is probably the coolest job in this state.
Even though I haven't written any of my short little reviews lately, I have been playing games quite frequently. I'm going to write a few of the little reviews now:
Assassins Creed - I bought this game the day it came out because the commercials made it look so bad ass. When I first started playing it I thought it was amazing, jumping and climbing on everything, killing anyone. And how original it was to me. About a quarter way through the game I realize that I was just doing the same crap over and over again. By the end of the game I came to the conclusion that this game was more repetitive than Shadow of the Colossus, and thats saying something. I had also bought the strategy guide for the game which was the dumbest thing I have ever bought. Its hard to find what you want, and all the maps that show where the flags are (mainly the Kingdom map) wrong. I was pissed because I got 99 flags in the kingdom and then there were no more in the guide. So the game pissed me off. The ending was horrible, and the graphics were pretty nice. I probably would recommend this game for a rent only, because it gets pretty boring.
Grand Theft Auto 4 - I rented this game and I still haven't even made it to the second island yet, but so far, I have like, no complaints about this game. It really does deserve a 10. Graphics are great, voice acting is phenominal as usual, and the gameplay never gets old. I'll probably write a more in depth review maybe when I beat it.
Call of Duty 4 - If you haven't bought this game yet, quit your job, get rid of the mrs and go to the store right now. Probably the best war game I have ever played, online and campaign. I know its a different kind of genre than Halo, but I say the multiplayer is WAY better in Call of Duty. The campaign tells a good story, and is VERY challenging. I just beat it on Veteran, but I can't beat the Mile High Club. 1 minute for the whole mission is bu!!sh!t. Anyway, get this game!!!
The Darkness - Yes, I know its pretty old now. But I rented this game, and I did beat it. The beginning is pretty intense and cool. The storyline is kinda weird and is confusing. The gameplay gets pretty repetitive overtime, and by the end of the game, I just wanted to beat it so I could take it back, I didn't even really care about the story. The voice acting was very good, but people's lips didn't move when they talked. Anyway, I maybe recommend this for a rent....the multiplayer sucks by the way.
There are more games that I have played, but I'm tired right now, its 12am, so I'm going to bed. But one thing, anyone who reads these short reviews, do you like them? I mean, does it help you hearing one honest review of a game without it being ten pages long? Let me know so I can either keep doing them or not...
