I had no idea it had been this long since I posted. Quite a bit has happened since December. I read my last entry, and it said I got laid off from Les Schwabs. So to start, I got laid off for 5 months, then I finally got another job. I work at Chase Doors, cutting industrial door bumpers with a panel saw. It is not exactly my favorite type of work, but it pays the rent.
I also got married on May 16th, which is pretty neat, we went to the coast for our honeymoon, which was nice.
I am going to end it here for now. I'll post something about games later.
Hello all, yes my last blog said that I had gotten laid off...Well that was in August, and got my job back about 10 days after I posted that...well GUESS WHAT?! I got laid off again!!! Yup!!!
Anyway, for anyone who reads this, which I doubt anyone does, I have played a LOT of games since August, but I'm only going to talk about 2 of them.
I was REALLY looking forward to Dead Space, and I finally rented it, got it home, put it in and it was bad ass! The boot stomp in this game is insanely powerful, and the monsters are cool and some of them are quick tough! But.........they introduced nearly all the monsters in the whole game right near the beginning, and let you keep fighting them in pretty much the same exact maps throughout the entire game. Dark corridor, enemy, shoot legs, shoot arms.....take 9 steps, repeat.......that pretty much killed it...by the time I beat it, (and yes, I did beat it) I just wanted to be done with it, the storyline made no sense, it was really repetative, and the end was retarded. And it wasn't scary at all...Dead space was a big disappointment overall.
I bought Fable 2 with the hopes that it would be better than the first one, and it is. The main story could have been fleshed out it bit better, and it could have been about 10 hours longer, but other than that, the game is fantastic. I hear people whine about not being able to get armor in this one, and that is a bummer, but Fable 2 is still an excellent game....until you focus on all the bugs and glitches in the game. The only game that might compare to Fable 2 as far as glitches go is Morrowind....Just about every game has its glitches and bugs, but I normally don't notice them or I let them slide, but when you have to restart you're whole game over because of a glitch that wasn't you're fault, and you are 85% through with the game, it kinda pisses you off. That happened to me, and I wasn't a happy guy. I still love this game, I just wish they would get those bugs fixed.
My xbox is broken at the moment, I'm waiting to get it back, I had the red ring of death, so I've been without for almost a month now....pretty much sucks...anyway, I'll post another blog here soon enough...
Hey people whats up, I got laid off from my job because George Bush is a homo and f-d up our economy, so I have been playing games like non-stop. I rented GH Aerosmith, and it was really disapointing to me. I don't know if it was because I'm not that big of a fan, or if it was just because all the songs suck....There wasn't that many, but by the time I beat it, I didn't want to play it anymore.....like ever again....
Ok, I rented Saints Row, and I'm pretty much addicted to it. I want to get all the achievements. The story is really good, and I know everyone compares it to GTA, but I have to admit, that some of the activities in SR are way better than the other stuff you can do in GTA (Insurance Fraud, Mayhem). But anyway. The game is awesome.
