One of the frustrations OTA broadcasters have in America is dealing with the FCC and trying to skirt the line between what they do and don't allow prior to 10:00. Even more frustrating is the lack of ironclad guidelines, which really break down to 'if someone complains that you were naughty, we'll investigate and see if we agree.' Luckily, they've issued a guideline that clears up one issue; nudity will now be allowed... as long as it's Alyson Hannigan.
I am mourning the hopefully temporary death of Southland, cancelled before its second season could even begin. It seems to be a victim of Jay Leno's show, as it was clearly a 10:00 show and the network suits simply felt it was too dark of a show to exist anywhere else on the schedule. Luckily, TNT may burn off the few episodes produced for season two, probably combined with the seven episodes of the first seaon. If all goes well, it could even continue from there.
I'd gotten away from the single player campaign of Red Faction: Guerrilla, but just liberated the second sector and just got the Nano Rifle, which fires what's for practical purposes a disintegration beam. I'd been playing a lot of multiplayer, which has enough unique modes to keep it fairly fun and some achievements worth chasing, despite the small number of players allowed at a time. Anarchy deathmatches are especially frustrating as there's this giant jerk, Jaziel, whose jerkiness is unfortunately matched by their talent. They win by huge margins, hitting 20 kills usually before anyone else has 10. They also teabag after every single kill and often send harassing private messages after matches. After a while it gets tiring receiving mail reading, "get raped kid lmfao."
That's all for today. Thanks for reading, everybody!
