seems that somehow, someway, MS is now charging 800 MS Points for Crash Course for Left 4 Dead, if anyone is getting the DLC at that price, call MS and demand your points back since they did lie to us about the price of the DLC, for those of you who have not gotten the Crash Course DLC, do not, i repeat, do not get the DLC yet and wait till this is all sorted out, because i have a feeling someone screwed up and is trying to overcharge us for this. this is not the first time Microsoft has screwed up, remember the Pitt for Fallout 3? remember the DLC we never got for Batman: Arkham Asylum? this has gone too far now.
Left 4 Dead Crash Course DLC.click that and see what i mean.

[UPDATE] Major Nelson Wrote On His Twitter Page That The DLC Has Been Priced Wrong And Is Looking Onto Getting It Fixed, So Do Not Buy Crash Course For Left 4 Dead Until The Price Is Adjusted.

[UPDATE 2]the price for Crash Course is now 560 Points and though it is only 2 Chapters, it is a pretty big one.

Jedi, you are likely to get the money back plus extra points possibly. This happened with Braid where they charged some people 1,200 points instead of 800 when it was a gold offer. So they gave everybody the 400 points back plus an extra 100 as an appology type thing. Its a mistake that humans can make so it will be sorted out, fear not.

I hate Microsoft, the only product i like is the 360, i love apple.

Just be thankful that Valve convinced microsoft to sell the Survival map pack for free.

800 that's a bit much

Yup!! Its sooo overpriced...

Not surprising since Microsoft already charges for online play in general.

Wow that was a big price, but good that they changed it.
Posted Sep 29, 2009 1:13 pm PT
sometimes i want to bomb microsoft
Posted Sep 29, 2009 2:55 pm PT
I'll probably get this... eventually.
Posted Sep 29, 2009 3:59 pm PT
A horrible amount of points for such a short campaign.
Posted Sep 29, 2009 5:50 pm PT
Glad they lowerd the price.
Posted Sep 30, 2009 12:21 pm PT

i didn't get l4d, so why am i commenting?
Posted Sep 30, 2009 2:30 pm PT
I paid the DLC for 800 points (as i thought it was MS greed and it wouldnt change) but it seems i got a point refund, so it's all good in the hood
Posted Oct 1, 2009 6:01 am PT
I think "free" was just the right price. Us PC users got it at the right price, why the hell are they making Xbox users pay for it at all?

ummmmmmm if u dont know the Batman: AA DLC is exclusive to the PS3 in America just telling you man so dont blame microsoft for that one Sony is finally getting its head in the game with DLC
Posted Oct 1, 2009 5:59 pm PT
@NuKkU it is not fair to us, Europe got the DLC on the 360, how is that fair, want to explain that one?
Posted Oct 2, 2009 7:47 am PT
you want me to explain it well its very easy. Microsoft is biggest in the US u may not know it but the PS3 is very close to the 360 in Europe so Sony felt that it didnt need to buy the exclusive DLC for Europe so they bought it in the spot they needed help in which is America. M$ couldnt do nothing Sony has been doing something that M$ has been doing for years starting to get their heads wrapped around DLC

Sure its not fair but hey its business dont blame M$

@NuKkU i don't get it, MS know what they were doing and they screwed us here in the states and that is a fact, they let it slip out of there hands so that Sony could get it, i am not going to start a System War here, but fact is, Sony sucks and the new price drop proves it, Sony should have gotten this dealt with when the PS3 was released, not now.

@jediknight52501: what do u mean M$ let it slip out of their hand(not trying to start a system wars argument either in fact i like Sony better but im trying to say it wasnt M$'s fault at all) M$ probably didnt even know about it Sony probably did it in secret till Rocksteady Studios(the maker of Batman) signed a contract so M$ couldnt use their vast unlimted cash to buy it back. And what do u mean Sony sucks just because they are finally doing what M$ has been doing for a long time now start using money to get money lol. The price drop was smart not because they were desperate in fact the price drop is actually hurting them it still costs more to make a PS3 then it is too buy one(dont know this for sure maybe the Slim is different but the orignal cost alot) but Sony finally released it you have to spend money to get money i think they forgot all about it when the PS1 and PS2 were on the market

Like i said im not trying to start a argument i actually like both companies im just saying it wasnt M$'s fault it was Sony finally getting smart and start buying exclusive DLC like M$ has been doing for years its all business
