So, probably not many people who read my blog are into football.  I, however. being from Indianapolis, am SO into football.  So, you can imagine my utter JOY when the Indianapolis Colts won the Super Bowl tonight!  I seriously thought we weren't going to win when the Bears got their first touchdown not even 30 seconds into the game.  But, the Colts rallied and BROUGHT IT BACK FOR THE WIN!  We have some truly great players and, in my opinion, one of the best defensive teams in the league.

Anyway, GO COLTS!

NBC is canceling Passions.  But you haven't heard the thing they're replacing it with - A FIFTH HOUR OF THE TODAY SHOW.  Who watches the Today show?  Seriously?  Why do they need a fifth hour of Al Roker saying "Well, in the northwest, guess what?  IT'S RAINING!"  Why do we need a fifth hour of Matt Lauer figthing with Scientologists?  Why must we watch a fifth hour of Anne Curry being the only halfway respectable news anchor?  This situation is very perplexing.  I'm not liking it AT ALL.

Speaking of Passions - Though the rape obsession has died down a bit, it's finally getting good.  A real rivalry is brewing between Fancy and her "saintly" aunt Sheridan.  Grace just died, throwing off the Bennett bonds again.  Kay and Fox just got married, as did Whit and Chad, and you KNOW those aren't going to last, and that it will be fun watching them unravel.  And hey - we haven't seen Chris!  So that just makes it 2395729 times better!

Plus - Jared and Theresa are finally engaged!  I hope that, when Passions ends in August, Ethan will have learned what Gwen did, ask for Theresa back.  And when he does that, SHE'LL SAY NO and stay with Jared.  Wouldn't that be lovely?

Heck, seriously, they should keep Passions on the air just so that we can see Chris get knocked off.

This rape thing on Passions has seriously gone TOO FAR.  Now that Fancy has been raped, how many rape victims does that make for the show?  It's really very sick that JERk's been getting away with this.  Does he even realize the grave situation in which rape puts their victim?  He just treats it as if, though bad, that it's not that big of a deal.  I think he really does need to stop with the rape storylines.  It's getting old and, more importantly, disrespectful.

Other than that, with regard to Passions, I'm becoming more and more convinced that Chad's lover is either a man or a giraffe.  Every time someone asks if he's cheating on Whit with another woman, he says no.  However, he's admitted to Jared that he has been cheatingg on Whitney, but he never specified the gender of this person, while Jared never asked.  So, like I said, it's either a man or a giraffe.  Or maybe even a male giraffe.

And, since I haven't posted anything worth mentioning about The Amazing Race, I'd like to say how disappointed I was about the last episode.  For one, I didn't even get to watch it because of the football games that janked up the times, which threw my DVR off.  Secondly, I was disappointed that the Barbies weren't in the final three, yet Lyn and Karlynn WERE.  I think the Barbies were the team who worked the hardest and deserved to win the most.  Lastly, I was sorely disappointedd that Tyler and James won.  Well, actually, I would have been disappointedd if any of the final three teams had won, but that's beside the point.  Why should two interchangeable guys with no personality win over two strong women who proved that they could beat down the stereotypes of beauty queens?  Dustin and Kandice were just awesome and I'm just sad they didn't make it to the end.

Well, I suppose that's it for now.  On a personal note - FINAL EXAMS ARE OVER!  I'm so relieved!

Some people just don't have opinions. Like jcap2002.
jcap2002 must really love MovieTome and agree with every review we've ever written! What other reason could jcap2002 possibly have for not rating a single film?
