Two stars flatters this poor excuse for a comedy. It really is surprising to see how bad this movie really is. There is so much potential in the storyline for some great humour, but this film fails to capitalise on even one situation. The film would have been better off to lose its gross-out nature as it really wasn't required, and I thought the acting performances were only average at best.

The movie also went way too long. I mean the whole section of trying to illegally cross the border into the US was so unexpected for this kind of film, and only succeeded to drag it even further down.

The only saving grace for the film (and what made me give it 2 stars) is the ending. I must admit, I loved the ending. It was perfect and unexpected, but was wasted on such a terrible film.

A surprisingly funny superhero parody. If you go into it without expecting much, with the expectation that it will be stupid, you will wind up enjoying the film. Like all paraodies, it is a hit and miss affair, but thankfully there are not too many misses, though the whole sequence ripping off the X-Men series is a definite miss.

The film is largely focussed around the original Spiderman. Go and watch this film. Remember it. Otherwise lots of the humour and parody of this film will be lost on you, as what this film does best is recreate many of the scenes from Spiderman, and parody them.

As to the acting, while none of them will win any awards, it is clear that they all had a good time filming their parts, and most of them have great comic timing. Spoof extraordinaire Leslie Nielsen adds depth to the film.

Is it stupid? Yes. But it also had me laughing in stitches.

There are some nice moments, and Noam Murro has given a solid directing performance from a clever script.

Brilliant. No other word can describe this masterpiece from Frank Darabont, adapted from a Stephen King novella. A thick mist envelopes a country town, and an unseen terror lurks within, trapping the survivors of the town in the local supermarket. Confusion reigns supreme and no one knows how far the mist has spread - perhaps over the entire world. As time passes and the mist remains just as thick, one-by-one the survivors begin to turn on each other. This turn is led by religious nutter Marcia Gay Harden, who delivers a hauntingly brilliant performance. Everyone knows her to be a nutter, but the longer they are trapped, the longer they live in fear, the longer they think they won't survive, the more they start to believe what she has to say.

Stephen King has a phenomenal mind, and this film's brilliance is that as scary, as dangerous, as deadly and as frightening as the monsters are within the mist, they are no where near as frightening as the people trapped within the supermarket. This film excellently depicts human behaviour when we are outside of our comfort zone, away from everything we know, fighting for survival.

Toby Jones is brilliant, and has the best scene in the film, which I will not spoil here, and all the cast, while not widely known, all deliver strong performances.

And the ending is chillingly perfect. It actually gave me chills watching it. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect ending.

Predominately a silly romantic comedy, with not as many laughs as one may suspect from the film's premise, which ultimately lets this film down. There are many humouress options to take with the idea, but the film really fails to capitalise on them. It's also not helped when you are able to work out exactly what will happen at the end after only five minutes. It's laughable how predictable this film is. But despite all of these grievances, I did enjoy the film, and Patrick Dempsey is believable as the playboy who finally discovers he's in love with his best friend. Personally I thought Michelle Monaghan looked a bit out of place. The most enjoyable scenes are those with Dempsey and his basketball friends. A light romantic comedy, and nothing more.

They should have stuck with the original three. Apparently they (Spielberg, Lucas and Ford) have turned down many scripts over the years - I would hate to see what they were about. Now, first the positives - of which there aren't many. The overall acting was good - Cate Blanchett, Shia LaBeouf, Ray Winstone, and in part John Hurt were all good. Harrison Ford himself was good, but to me he just didn't feel like Indiana Jones. There was also a good mix of humour throughout, in the true Indiana Jones vain.

Now to the plot, such as it is. The opening scenes in Area 51 were enjoyable, with plenty of action and a decent twist, but the film only went downhill from there. To me, I couldn't help but think that this film was a rip-off of The Mummy series. The hoards of ants instead of scarab beetles, and the explosion of the temple and its surroundings both had me thinking of The Mummy films. As to those ants - come on! A hoard of them are just going to spring up and attack everyone in that manner? I think not. And Shia swinging through the vines to catch up to the car? I'm watching Indiana Jones, not Tarzan. And the monkeys know to instinctively swing towards the car, jump into the Soviet vehicle and attack the communists? And then having the monkey survive being tossed over the cliff was taking it too far. In fact most of the movie went too far.

Indiana Jones has always had a mystic quality to it, but it has also managed to remain believable in the process. This film did not. The whole alien storyline took it way too far (and I'm a lover of sci-fi and alien films and shows - but there is no place for it in Indiana Jones). I also thought the whole final sequence in the temple was overdone and too fantastical, and quite frankly bored me. A number of times I shifted in my seat, as my interest was waning.

In summary, a huge disappointment, in a movie I thought was going to be brilliant. I went in expecting to give it 5 stars, and it is lucky to be getting half that.

Average comic book adapation. The acting, especially Robert Downey jnr., was great, as were the special effects, but the movie really failed to draw me in. I really wanted to like it and be immersed by it, but I kept finding myself disassociating myself from it.

And the final battle scenes between the two 'Iron Men' bored me. As grand, as epic, as explosive, as computer generated as it was, I saw myself losing all interest in the battle, and in the film. I just think we have reached a stage of having too much CGI in action sequences, and we should return to the raw and gritty realism of past action films.

Also the terrorist group was too dumb to be believed, and I knew as soon as I saw the 'mentor' that he would turn out to be the bad guy. In fact the whole movie was fairly predictable.

Look, it is a good escapist popcorn action film, that gains its credibility through a strong cast.

St. Trinian's is a fun, irreverent, random, wacky comedy, that I loved from the moment it began. While I can see that it won't appeal to everybody, it really worked for me. The music played throughout also deserves mention as it perfectly reflected the mood and emotion of the action taking place on screen.

Rupert Everett is great in drag, while Colin Firth is good as always, but it is the girls who are the real stars.

While there are many characters, the young actresses are compelling and talented enough to bring life to their characters and to make you constantly aware of their presence. Talulah Riley and Gemma Arterton were both brilliant as the Headmistress' niece and Head Girl respectively. However special mentions have to go to the twins (Cloe Mackie and Holly Mackie). They stole every scene they were in. Tamsin Egerton (of Keeping Mum fame) as Chelsea was brilliant and has great comic timing.

The story was compelling and funny throughout, and I marvelled at all the ingenious ideas they developed to reach the end result.

All in all this is a great rebellious comedy (where even the teachers are worse than the students) and one that should have you laughing out loud.

Unlike some other audience members, I enjoyed the rewinds, seeing the action unfold from different angles, and just providing tastes. Each successive re-run revealed a little bit more, which heightened the intrigue and mystery for me. However, the film falls on its face in the final act. It's one thing to have all the people coming together at the end, but it is another to have it done in the way seen in this film. And how on earth could Dennis Quaid get out of the car without injury following him being sandwiched between a truck and a wall? And while on the topic of cars, that car chase was way too long, and seemed to be added just for the sake of adding a car chase to an action film.

The acting was alright - Forest Whitaker was great, Dennis Quaid decent, the terrorist rather good. Sigourney Weaver, however, stole the film, and was absolutely brilliant, and I was disappointed that she was hardly seen after the first twenty minutes. Matthew Fox really wasn't in it enough, nor did he have a big enough impression in the film to be seen as giving a good acting performance or not. William Hurt, it must be said, was disappointing, which is a rare thing for him, but he really delivered nothing to his character, the President of the United States.

Great buildup, some great twists, great execution of the attack after you've seen the different viewpoints, but an extremely unbelievable Hollywood ending, which ruins and tarnishes the rest of the film.

Highly unfunny comedy that relies on smut and one joke to push the story along. It doesn't work. The one star goes to Isla Fisher, who steals every scene she is in.

The original and the best. Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley are perfectly cast, but Geoffrey Rush and Kevin McNally steal the show. Great swashbuckling fun, me mateys!

An all star British cast (from Bill Nighy, Alan Rickman, Emma Thompson, Colin Firth, Keira Knightley, Rowan Atkinson, Hugh Grant, Liam Neeson and many others), joined by Laura Linny and Billy Bob Thornton turn this film into an absolute masterpiece that cannot be faulted at any one place. The Dark Knight is back and better than ever before. This is the best Batman feature ever made (especially against the more comical George Clooney films). Christian Bale is brilliant as the superhero, Michael Caine is perfectly cast, and Liam Neeson, Katie Holmes, Morgan Freeman and Gary Oldman provide strong support. Unfortunately villain Cillian Murphy is weak and is not suited to his role (unlike his outing in Red Eye). The story is tight and gripping in this much darker installment for the franchise, though it does fade away and personally the final battle sequence was too fantastical in comparison to the reality of the rest of the film. Having said that a brilliant action film with some real character and emotion. Bring on the sequel!

Deathly boring unfunny comedy/drama film. An all star cast (including Gene Hackman, Ben Stiller, Gwyneth Paltrow, Danny Glover and Bill Murray) all fail to shine and none of them seem to have any interest in their characters. Avoid at all costs.

A poor outing in what becomes a great franchise. The acting is good, but the story wanes.

M. Night Shyamalan is a master storyteller, and his twists are amongst the best in the business, and he doesn't disappoint in this genuinely scary thriller. I was captivated from the beginning to end.
