Dude, most of it's not bad, but you GOTTA ditch that video card ASAP! Welcome to bottleneck city. Other than that, it is awesome.
Any clue on the motherboard?

Wow sweet compy!

@ TEF: I like it.

@ tm: I know... but my dad bought the comp, after 2 YEARS of constantly rejecting computers. I got tired of waiting and just told him to buy this one. And it's good enough for what I need. As for the motherboard, was wondering myself, but don't know. But upgrading the 9500 might not be possible without spending a lot, because the power supply leaves a lot to be desired. (350, IIRC)

@ meelkud: Oh, I am

@ grapefruit: Yeah, I actually like it so far. I turned off the "cancel or allow" and now, it's fine.

@ NuKkU: If you have Vista, you can go to Control Panel -> Classic View -> Performance Index or something like that. It will gave you five ratings that go up to 5.9. Mine are 5.9, 5.7, 5.9, 5.4, 5.9.

@ tancred: From my experiences so far, I quite agree.

350W! That's a weak, cheap one. Yeah, it's more important you get that power supply out than a new video card in!

My 8600GTS might actually be better than your 9500, which is pretty sad.

Well now that you have a real PC, Thou Shalt Get Crysis.

maybe you r able to get prince of persia by the end of the year (in my opinion, the only PC game that's really worth a money if you don't have an X360/PS3)
Posted Oct 7, 2008 3:33 pm PT
@ tm: Yeah, I know. There's a lot of room for improvement, but it does what I want.

@ dg: I think they're about on par, actually. And yes, Crysis is on my list, after Assassin's Creed and before Spore.

@Bruno: There are tons of great PC games! And Prince of Persia really doesn't do anything for me.

Get Crysis before Assasins Creed.

And his 9500GS does beat the 8600GTS. My 9600GT beats both handidly .
