Well, as things progress with the Writer's Strike with no real end in sight I am planning on reading and catching up with movies I haven't seen. I have been rewatching the old Supernatural's along with the new ones to come out, and I am really looking forward to the gruesome Christmas episode. However, after that episode it will be several weeks before a new episode airs so I am trying to come up with things to watch and read in the interim.
I am going to catch up with Heroes - as I think there might finally be enough episodes out to make it worth my while to watch all of them. I don't like watching it as it airs because the story moves too slowly for someone as impatient as I am. However, getting to see a bunch of them at once will help with my impatience, I gather.
I hate reality television, so none of the new crap shows they are churning out to have something on air during the strike are even remotely tempting. I wasn't interested in the reality television prior to the strike, and I certainly won't be giving them any look now. Every time I think of a reality show I think of hte Doctor Who episode where the Daleks created themselves out of reality show contestants who were killed off.
Although, I like the Surreal Life, go figure. I guess there is always that exception to the rule.
I am gearing up to having an Urban Fantasy Christmas break. I plan on catching up with Suki Stackhouse, reading the rest of the Kelley Armstrong series, and a couple of other books in that genre I haven't had a chance to read yet.
Right now I have been watching Hustle and that show is pretty entertaining. I also still have season 3 of Veronica Mars on DVD and I haven't watched any of those yet. I may just rewatch the whole series from start to finish. Or not.
I also plan on reviewing more episodes of older shows as I watch them. I got my husband Twin Peaks for his birthday - the version that includes the entire series including the pilot. As an aside - who the heck thought it was a good idea to release season 1 without the pilot initially?! Dumb, dumb plan. So we may have a creepy, Twin Peaks Christmas.
Anyway, Happy holidays to everyone and I hope you all tune in to see the Winchesters' Christmas episode! I think is should be gruesome fun!
I must say that I was a bit worried about this season was going to play out, but after last night I am so relieved!! I love new storylines, and I don't mind new characters, but the first episode of this season wasn't what I think of as "classic" Supernatural. However, last night's episode was classic Supernatural and it was fantastic.
I really love this show and I am glad that it is going to continue with being a wonderful show to watch. This show gives me something to look forward to on Thursdays. I even tried to buy a season pass to the show from iTunes so I could watch (rewatch) the episodes on my iPod, but for whatever reason they won't download. Stupid iTunes.
I love Dean's attitude this season. I am also really loving Sam's attitude. Sam has become badass, which is awesome to see. I am excited about where they are taking his character this season. So far, I approve - angry Sam is much more fun than emo-Sam!
