I dont understand what is happening with this great show. Why are no people watching it. Viewership is constantly falling, and it (the show) is finally starting to answer more questions then it is bringing up.

I understand there was a time when a fan would/could get frustrated by an episode here or there. I know I did. I hated getting a partial answer to a question that I had been pondering for months only to have 5 (exagerating) new questions come up during a broadcast.

Aside from the constant questions, the cast is great! This alone could bring me back week after week. I couldn't think of one character I would recast with a different actor. No one else could play John Locke (my favorite character) other than the surprising Terry O'Quinn. I had seem him in some movies playing mostly small parts, but who could have imagined he could bring this character to life in such an awe inspiring way. Another character is Hurley, who is Jorge Garcia? I had never seen him before but he is great! Such a lovable character.

The story itself has many twists and turns. I remember when I decided to watch season one. Prior to seeing the first episode I thought this would be a neat "Castaway" type of tv show. Where we get to see how the survivors of a plane crash adapt to survive on an Island until they are rescued. Boy, was I way off!! and I couldn't be more happy about it. This show has gone off in a totally unexpected, sci-fi direction. It has kept me guessing for years now and I love the unpredictability of the show. I hate when I can guess whats coming, like on the many cop related television shows.

In all this show has gotten better and better but hasn't been able to hang on to the ratings from the first couple of seasons. I wonder if DVR and TIVO is factored into the ratings, or online viewerships for that matter. There is only one season left of this great show and I plan on being a fan until the end.

I gotta say, this was one of my Favorite TV shows from 1995 -2000. Although after season 2 things took a turn for the worst. It is easily one of Jerry O'Connells most successful roles. Seems like everything he is in now lasts one or two episodes and is cancelled. It's a good thing he has a hot wife.

Who would of thought at the time that Prof. Arturo, played by John Rhys-Davies, would go on to play a dwarf in the blockbuster Lord of the Rings Trilogy. They sure can do amazing things with computers now. Turning a large man like him into a Dwarf. Genius.

Unfortunately after season 2 things started getting weird. The cast was changing and basically the original idea of the show was being altered and like so many shows before and after it losing what made it great.

I'd love to see a Sliders movie with the original cast. Hell, they did it with Firefly and I dont think that show lasted more than one season!

jay1127 must really love MovieTome and agree with every review we've ever written! What other reason could jay1127 possibly have for not rating a single film?
