I keep hearing how great Planescape: Torment is, but I can't get past the first ten minutes. Granted, I've only tried once or twice, but still. Does the game pick up? Should I give it another go?

Great choices, MGS3 and Shadow of the colossus are definitely on my top favorites list.

I agree with 90% of this, but MGS2 over MGS? Really?! 
It made no sense! And how can you forget classic lines like "I shall reeeeeeead your miiiind" and "Colonel, what's a Russian gunship doing here?" - good taste, some classic games there
