I use the 24 dollar logitech optical from walmart not the tiny one but the next size up, it has a usb transmiter that sticks out about an inch and a half and uses one AA battery. I've had it about a year and changed the battery once and that was because i noticed it being just a bit slugish. I use it to play Halo and I don't notice any difference between it and my cabled light mice. What did you pay fort the ASUS if I may ask??

thanks for the feedback. I went to frys and was looking at mice and some are over 100 dollars!!! I think I saw one that looked great that was about 49. I got the computer for I think 1090 with the rebate for the warranty plan. I think total with taxes was about 1300. So far I am happy but I think I need to upgrade the intel chip. It seems a little slow if I have too many things going. But if I am just playing crysis it seems fine so far. just hard to get used to playing on a laptop instead of my desktop.

If your system is new and is slow you may want to dump a lot of the OEM software that you don't need. Does it have McAfee or Symantec (they suck a lot of resouorces) virus ware?? You may want to start there and replace it with a free ware like Avast. I use it on all my systems and I have very few problems. You may also want to change your browser setting to reject third pary cookies as well. New systems always have stuff on them you can dump so I would look it iver and see if there is stuff you can live without!! Let me know how it goes.

Thanks A LOT!!! I disabled the third party cookies. I have windows vista and I plan to upgrade to the mid level business one. I have Norton which I am fine with. Plus I paid for a whole year! Not sure which programs to delete or turn off. I will play around you set me on the right track though!
