Yes, I'm still alive... I think.

To start things off, I'm proud to say that BARACK OBAMA HAS WON!!!!!! (although you pobably know that already) Although I was going for STEPHEN COLBERT, OBAMA is just as good.

Now the reason I've been gone was because I've been filming movies, playing music, and focusing on schoolwork. not that you care anyway.

Now... for the REAL IMPORTANT STUFF!! HERE ARE MY PICKS FOR THE BEST ALBUMS OF 2008

5. AC/DC- Black Ice

File:Black ice red.jpg

I'm not really a fan of AC/DC (I never have been). However, when I listened to Black Ice, I thought otherwise! Great hard-rocking songs through the whole album. Rock-n-roll train is the best song.

4. Weezer- Weezer (The Red Album)

File:Weezerred2.jpg

Although not as good as their other albums, it was better than most of the stuff on the radio! Contains hard-rocking songs with quiet love songs. Best songs are Greatest man that ever lived and Pork and beans.

3. Oasis- Dig Out Your Soul

File:Dig out your soul.jpg

Finally, they are back to their hard-rocking roots! Best songs are Shock of Lightning, I'm Outta Time, and Bag it Up

2. The Offspring- Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace

File:The Offspring - Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace.jpg

The title sounds sorta like the Foo Fighter's Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace!? Like Oasis, The Offspring went back to the roots that made them famous. Best songs are Kristy, are you doing okay? You're gonna go far, kid, and Rise and Fall.

1. R.E.M.- ACCELERATE

File:R.E.M. - Accelerate.jpg

Accelerate they did!!! R.E.M.'s Accelerate shows us that R.E.M. may be in their fifties, but they can still rock harder than most! However, Until the day is done is a beautiful song with a memorable beat. As for Supernatural superserious, it sounds like What's the frequency, Kenneth? and Its the end of the world as we know it (and I feel fine) put together in one loud and catchy tune. That is why its my vote for best album of 2008.

GOOD NIGHT EVERYBODY!

AC/DC's latest was much better than recent albums, though it can't hold a torch to their originals. "Weezer" was a big disappointment to me. As a big Weezer fan ("Pinkerton" is probably a top 3 all time album for me, "Weezer (Blue)" top 20), hearing "Pork and Beans" on the radio after the atrocious sh!theap that was "Make Believe", I had my hopes up. Once I had the album and had listened to the first 4 songs, my hopes were higher with the awesome "TGMTEL" and "Troublemaker" and the above average "Heart Songs", but from there it went straight downhill. About a 6.9/10. I saw them live in October however and they are capable of kicking enormous a$$. Very fun, well played show. One of the best in recent memory. Oasis sucks in general in my opinion ("Definitely Maybe" the only exception, possibly "WTSMG?"), so forget that. It may be hard rocking, but it's boring, repetitive, and generic. The Offspring is okay, and the new album was just that, okay. Good for them, and I say what could be liked. I haven't heard much of "Accelerate", but what I know I like. Definitely a return-to-form for R.E.M. to some extent. Everything's your opinion however, so all I just wrote means nothing. My favorites of the year are "Dear Science" by TV On the Radio and "The Lucky Ones" by Mudhoney. Definitely look into them (you'll like Mudhoney better though, guarantee it).

In case you didn't figure out about the Weezer album, I'm saying it really built itself up and got hopes high, but it didn't live up to expectations, making it even worse.
