I called up the Sony Repair Center and they told me the PS3 could arrive as late as next month. I sent it away on the 29th of April, and they received it on the 5th of May (like... wtf?). HAZE comes out this week, and I was really looking forward to playing it. Looks like I'll have to wait a bit longer then

yeah that sucks for sure. I got mine replaced in less than 2 weeks, i just got a refurbished unit as opposed to fixing mine. thats what the sony customer service rep advised me to do so it would'nt take as long.. They sent me a coffin (empty box for packaging and shipping dead ps3) with prepaid postage, I sent my dead PS3 in with ground service they sent the refurb back with next day air! So as soon as they recieved my dead console they shipped the refurb for fastest possible service. I was happy to say the least, now I'm on over a year with my refurb with no problems.. That sucks this has been so difficult for you.. But hopefully it will be over soon and you'll be back to gaming in no time

Best of luck to you and maybe they are giving you some Resistance 2 beta or something. Maybe that's why they are taking forever.

in general sony stuff never breaks unless you do something to it that would disobey the terms of warranty so real sorry they aren't better prepared for these situations.

@Bloodseeker - How I got my PS3... Traded my PS2 and all the games to get it for $300. So unfortunately... No PS2

Yah I hate the waiting time for the consoles to come back. It's not like they have anything to do really, just fix it and return it asap people. Guess I can't complain, and neither can anyone else because they'll just take their time on purpose.

Damn thats too bad. My mate just got his PS3 back after sending it away 6 weeks ago and he lost all of his game saves.

Sony asked me to delete my save files and everything on it. It's a shame I'll have to play every game I have all over again.
