hoo-yah!
it's about time! been waiting for Neverwinter nights 2 for far too long...
who thinks up of these titles anyway? i'd much rather be a "magician lord" at level 16 than "i feel asleep" which is what, 20+?
personally i wouldn't mind being "magician lord" permanently... ![]()
i feel like there's a strong need to simplify my "life" on GS, so i'm going to be cutting back on unions (resigning from a number) and being more selective about those i retain membership in as well as participate in. i will also be going back to my "empty" bannerless sig (i came with nothing, i'll be leaving with nothing)...
too often have i seen people fretting over personal levels, emblems, officer positions, reaching 10,000 posts, union levels, etc. i think it's ridiculous, and while we're all entitled to our opinion -- i'm not trying to convince them otherwise -- i feel that i can stand idly by no longer, which is why i'm stating my piece here.
i'm sick of being in unions that have lame-a$$ topics like:
1. what are you listing to XXth edition
(do you really CARE what i'm listening to?)
2. say something about the person above you
(even if you don't know them??)
3. hurt & heal games, etc.
(why??)
or unions that keep obsessing (yes, OBSESSING) over the % completed of their levels, how GS glitches have curtailed their "progress" and growth", promotions / demotions, or bugging their members to keep posting, even though they're posting nothing of consequence (almost spam-like IMO), etc.
i mean, who CARES?! is an "officer" with 1,000,000 useless posts more valuable than a recruit with 500 interesting posts? no wonder so many people are leaving GS...
needless to say, i'll only be retaining membership in unions that focus on things i care about, have interesting topics / people, and a more mature outlook. i'll also be taking a more active role in my tracked blogs.
things that i do care about on GS:
1. issues / topics about gaming
2. interesting people i'd otherwise never get to meet
3. hanging out with ppl who have the same interests
ok end of vent... resigning to commence immediately...
