Hello everybody it's me insane wolfninja. Well I have decided to buy a wii instead of PS3, heres why my belife goes like this. you get your bases covered with awesome 3rd party titles on the 360 and (awesome first party). and with a wii you get, awesome first party titles also. with these 2 combined this gen, you'll get all your third party games and frist covered. If I went with sony, Most of the third party titles on ps3 are on 360 but better. and sonys first party lineup is too spread out! that got games but like 5 majer titles are being scattered through 09 and 2010 gameing seasons. why wait when you can get all you need and better! right now? thats atleast how I feel.

This Gen has been a not so good gen. so far we have had really only 5 games that make me say, that could not be dont last gen. it just seem's like games are being rushed and not enough effort being put into them, let's look at oblivion.

ES4 oblivion came out in march of 06 as a time exclusive for the 360 and PC. that game redfined and showed that this gen was a huge step, from the depth of the gameplay to the huge! open world with neraly 120 dungeons, and AI called (radiant AI) revolutinzed how you interact with the game. where's npcs Are always changeing up thier schedule and doing thier own thing. ES4 set a benchmark for AI. other then Gears, GTA4, halo 3. wheres the lifelike AI at? devs are forgetting that next gen is more then just graphics its a (should be) standard above everything else of last gen, and we gamers just havent been experencing that. I mean come on I want when Iam playing cod 4 for the enmies to out manuever, flank, and team up on me! I want unpredictble but it seems that I aint gonna get that. it seemd like last gen npc AI was just so important in games like, half life 2 metroid prime, halo etc etc etc.

Well thats wy Iv'e been a little dissapponted this gen hopefully things shape up more.

I agree with games needing much better AI - however, "AI was just so important in games like, half life 2" - I would have to completely disagree with that statement. I've played through Half-Life 2 many times and I can honestly say without a doubt that it has terrible AI.

Anyways, unfortunately, most "next-generation" console games are being held back... not by "DVD (space)", not my processing power, not by HDD space, but because of lack of RAM. Of course that doesn't automatically point that there won't be any amazing games though - because we've received games such as Mass Effect, Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter, Halo 3, Grand Theft Auto IV, Gears of War and Call of Duty 4.

My only prediction is that "Next-next Generation" in 2 or so years from now, the next Xbox will probably blow us away. (And hopefully there won't be a 3 Red Ring fiasco this time as well )

Ah, I feel as though gameplay has truly excelled this generation. The Xbox 360 controller is so near perfect that if Microsoft abandons the design I will literally cry. So, because of this perfect design(Save for D-PAD), gameplay in games like Halo 3 and Call of Duty 4 are so incredibly immersing and addictive it truly makes the game flow to your actions. Playing shooters, sport games, hell any genre on the Xbox 360 controller is perfect.

Granted I played through Oblivion on my PC, Xbox and PS3 - and the Xbox 360 was the best version to get because of the controls. The PS3 version felt a little slipshod when it came to the controls - theey were not smooth at all, it was a little choppy. The game just didn't feel "right" for the console.

Thats how it mainly is for sony and ports.

I must say almost everybody is disapointed because almost all games are focused on one spot: the graphics...

With the new gen consoles now able to support high-def images compagnies uses their money to create always better looking graphics but they forget the storyline and the gameplay also...

I hope that they will realize it... some did look at SSBB or mario galaxy... the design is perfect in everyway and they were recognised for it feels good to be back

You have to understand why some developers go in that direction, not because they want too - but because they have too. Developing for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 are expensive and a time hounding experience. A developer who is too stretched just doesn't have the time to focus on every aspect on the game, hence why we end up with botched games.

Of course, you have to think to yourself when developers make games like LAIR and Haze -- if they even played the damn game when it was finished? I mean, did even they think it was crap?

Don't get me wrong man, I agree with you completely, but I feel as though gaming now is SO much more enjoyable then it was before. I mean, I can go play Crysis and play through it a couple of times just because of how frickin' awesome it is to blow up some houses. I just wish more games were like Mass Effect and Halo 3. If that much time and effort can be put into games like those - we would have one helluva of gaming industry.
